You’ll need to have courage and a strong stomach to try out the new Skittles flavor being released in 2019. Parent company Mars announced that “Zombie Skittles” will arrive just in time for Halloween next year, and fans of the strange and unusual are in for a treat. A package of Zombie Skittles will still contain our favorite traditional Skittles flavors — they’ll just be spookified with names like Petrifying Citrus Punch, Mummified Melon, Boogeyman Blackberry, Chilling Black Cherry, and Blood Red Berry.
However, Zombie Skittles have another, unsavory twist: mixed within the fruity flavors are random Skittles that taste like rotten zombie. We’re horrified.
According to The Daily Meal, Mars didn’t respond when questioned about what “Rotten Zombie” tastes like. But we have a strange feeling we’re about to get Bertie Bott’s Every Flavor Beans-ed by Mars. We’re thinking Rotten Zombie probably tastes like a mashup of rotten egg, booger, vomit, and sausage.
Perhaps the scariest thing about the Rotten Zombie Skittle is that the icky flavor will be masked by a fruity-looking exterior. You won’t know if or when you’re about to be zombie-bombed. Bustle reports that fun-sized bags of these creepy treats will be available for 2019 trick-or-treaters, as will larger-sized bags priced between $1.89 and $2.99.
New Zombie Skittles will be out for Halloween 2019! There's hidden Rotton Zombie flavored Skittles among the uninspired fruit flavors: Citrus punch, melon, blackberry, black cherry, and red berry. I wonder what Wrigley thinks Rotton Zombie tastes like...… https://t.co/Ij4wlM8kcb pic.twitter.com/Phkx4eSd0V

As grossed out as we are about potentially getting a mouthful of The Walking Dead, we have to say that we’re more than a little curious to see what the flavor is all about.
You know, it’s not every day that you can tell people you know what rotten zombies taste like.
We wish future trick-or-treaters a lot of luck because not all the candy next year will be so sweet.
