Watching Kendall Jenner Try To Eat A Croc Will Hurt Your Brain

Kendall Jenner The Tonight Show

Food challenges have always been entertaining to watch. Longtime fans of Survivor probably remember the first time Jeff Probst got his castaways to dine on cuisine like cow brains and beetle larvae. And, it’s hard not to feel a little nauseous when James Corden airs a “Spill Your Guts Or Fill Your Guts” segment, which is like a Truth or Dare with weird “foods” like bird saliva. Now, Jimmy Fallon is hoping to make his new segment, “Food or Not Food,” stick.

According to Fallon, the show is based on a Japanese gameshow titled Candy or Not Candy, which forces contestants to guess whether or not the item they’re biting into is actually a sweet, or something totally different. He played his version on The Tonight Show with Kendall Jenner, who had a rough first challenge.

Fallon presented a line of shoes. They all looked real, but Jenner figured that the Croc might actually be made of food. And it’s a good guess.

But, it’s the wrong one. As a “waiter” dressed in gold brings the Croc over to Jenner, she tries to take a bite and realizes it’s just a standard Croc. “I hope they’re new,” she said. (If not, yikes.)

The moment was definitely a weird one, but it had Fallon in stitches. Still, there was something so cautious and innocent about that bite. It could have been way worse.

Someone pointed out that the shot of Jenner’s bite might end up haunting her later on. People are fans of Photoshop, and, well. People are cruel.

But other fans think the game was lighthearted and a lot of fun. Jenner wasn’t the only person who had to eat a shoe — Fallon also guessed incorrectly.

And fans couldn’t help but admire Jenner’s camera presence. She was born into fame, after all.

Even without acting classes, surely there are a lot of people out there who’d love for the chance to have the one and only Kendall Jenner in their movie. So, maybe she’ll consider it.

Especially since she already has a loyal fanbase. Many people couldn’t even believe that The Tonight Show would risk having Jenner eat a shoe in the first place.

After the Croc, Jenner and Fallon had a face-off. Unfortunately, Jenner’s second choice was also inedible.

Their next round? Telephones.

Those, as you could imagine, look like they’re just not as tender as a Croc. None of these will have that rubber bite that Jenner experienced during round one. Fallon won that round immediately but shared his chocolate red phone with Jenner.

Finally, the two ate toys. Jenner revealed she didn’t know who Gumby was, calling him a “green man” before choosing to eat what would actually be a legit Rubik’s Cube.

That segment made people stunned for a few reasons. What kind of toy-less childhood did Jenner apparently have?

As Jenner is one of the world’s best-known influencers, with 104 million Instagram followers, hopefully, she won’t be influencing anyone to take a big bite out of a Croc anytime soon. Fingers crossed that she doesn’t inspire “The Croc challenge.”

Because, as Jenner openly revealed, Crocs are made of rubber. Rubber isn’t poisonous, but it’s obviously a pretty big choking hazard.

Hopefully, Fallon airs more of these in the near future. They’re a lot of fun, and much less disgusting than Corden’s segment, which is sometimes hard to get through. Jenner should know — she tried that one, too.

As did Jenner’s sister Khloe Kardashian, who played the game two years ago. Looks like Corden loves bringing Kardashian/Jenner family members on to play.

I think Kardashian would have preferred eating a Croc over delicacies like fish eyes and cod sperm. Which, gag.

If you know any talented bakers (or happen to be one yourself) wouldn’t “Food Or Not Food” be one of the best at-home party games ever?
