Dunkin’ Donuts Will Add A New Mystery-Flavored Drink To Their Menu — Here’s Our Guess

In February 2018, Dunkin’ Donuts proved that they get us. The coffee chain added three Girl Scout Cookie-inspired coffee flavors to their menu: Thin Mint, Coconut Caramel, and Peanut Butter Cookie — and we fell hard for all three. Unfortunately, the flavors skipped town too soon and we’ve been mourning them all summer. But thankfully, Dunkin’ Donuts is doing us a solid and bringing the Girl Scout Cookie-inspired coffee back, along with a new ~mystery flavor~.

According to an August 20th press release, Dunkin’ Donuts plans to reintroduce Girl Scout Cookie-flavored coffee to customers in early 2019. Although it’s unclear which crowd-favorite flavors will hit the menu again, we’re confident that we’ll approve of any Girl Scout Cookie beverage Dunkin’ delivers.

“We’ll be delighting guests with a couple returning favorites,” the Dunkin’ Donuts press release reads, “plus something brand new! Can you guess which Girl Scout Cookie will inspire our next flavor?”

Well, we can try, can’t we?

After taking Thin Mints, Samoas, and Do-si-dos (the three cookies that inspired the first batch of Dunkin’ flavors) off the bake sale table, we’re still left with a large repertoire of potential coffee flavors. But we think we can safely knock Lemonades and Savannah Smiles off the list. No one wants lemon-flavored coffee, right?

And introducing another peanut butter flavor potentially inspired by Tagalongs would be silly. So that leaves us with S’mores, Shortbread, Toffee-tastic, Thanks-A-Lot, and Caramel Chocolate Chip to draw inspiration from.

Wow, those all sound like they would make hella good coffee flavors. But we’re going to place our bet on Toffee-tastic. Or S’mores — or Caramel Chocolate Chip. We can’t decide!

When the Girl Scout Cookie-inspired coffee comes back in 2019, Dunkin’ noted it will once again team up with local Girl Scout troops and encourage the “cookie entrepreneurs” to set up shop in Dunkin’ locations across the country.

That means we’ll once again have to avoid the temptation to indulge in a box of Girl Scout Cookies while sipping on our Girl Scout Cookie coffee. We’re all going to need to support each other during that time.

2018 can’t end soon enough. We so excited to see which flavors will hit Dunkin’ Donuts next year and we’re rooting for you, S’mores — er, Toffee-tastic. No, Caramel Chocolate Chip — no, S’mores!
