Starbucks Just Released The “CSL” Drink, And It’s Ruined Our 2019 Diets Already

Step aside, PSL. There’s a new latte in town, and it’s here to completely destroy all of the New Year’s resolutions you made. We hope you didn’t vow to give up coffee or stop drinking Starbucks for an entire month, because you’re going to want to try their new drink ASAP. Introducing the Starbucks Cinnamon Shortbread Latte, or the CSL for short.

Whenever Starbucks releases a new drink, we immediately stop everything to try it. And the CSL is no exception. According to Starbucks, the CSL features “rich espresso with buttery vanilla shortbread sauce, topped with a dusting of cinnamon and nutmeg.” It’s basically a shortbread cookie in liquid form, and we could NOT be more excited. To quote Starbucks: “It’s shortbread made sippable.” Um, YUM.

If the sweet combination of buttery vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg appeals to your sweet tooth, you’re in luck, because the CSL is available in stores starting today, January 8th. Unfortunately, it’ll only be available for a limited time. So if you want to sip on the Starbucks CSL for yourself, do it sometime soon. Time is of the essence.

But here’s the best part: You can order the Starbucks CSL in a variety of ways, Bustle reports. You can try it hot, iced, and even as a Frappuccino. And in addition to choosing what kind of milk you’d like, you can also choose what kind of espresso you’d like. For a bolder taste, try Starbucks’ Signature Espresso; for a smoother, sweeter taste, try it with their Blonde Espresso.

Needless to say, people are EXCITED about the new drink.

For anyone wondering... the @Starbucks Cinnamon shortbread latte is the bomb. No joke, everyone should try it. It makes up for that Juniper latte debacle.

The Starbucks CSL definitely has the approval of Instagram user mohayes926.

Instagram user hollyowyen liked the drink but had mixed feelings about the CSL sauce itself.

For some lucky customers, the CSL is just the beginning.

It looks like Starbucks also introduced a Chocolate Dulce De Leche Muffin and a Ham, Cheddar, and Peppers Sous Vide Egg Bites at some locations. What a perfect plate.

We’re also fans of this pairing: a Cinnamon Shortbread Latte and shortbread cookies.

A Starbucks CSL in this Valentine’s Day-themed cup is almost too cute to handle.

But like we mentioned, the drink is only available in the U.S. and Canada. liisaaaastewart is disappointed.
