Starbucks Secretly Has A Medicine Ball Tea That Will Allegedly Cure Your Cold

There’s one big thing about summer that you might miss. Even though the weather was super hot and humid, it seems like the reason why we sneezed was due to allergies, and not a legit cold. Yes, it’s possible to get a cold in the summertime. It’s just not something normally tied to the season the way it is with winter, which is when people seem to have 24/7 colds the second November rolls around. But regardless of the season, you’re probably always on the lookout for a cold remedy. Turns out, Starbucks might have had itthis entire time.

It’s called a Medicine Ball Tea, and initially, it wasn’t on the standard Starbucks menu when people first learned about it. But according to Bustle, it’s actually better known on the menu by a totally different name — Honey Citrus Mint Tea. Sounds delicious, right? Well, aside from its taste, many Starbucks fans think it has a totally different purpose. Since honey and citrus are both common ways to keep a cold at bay, it makes sense that this drink would make a big difference when you’re under the weather.

Fans who knew of it way back when still often prefer the title of “Medicine Ball Tea,” since it gets right to the point. But it may be best to use the real name when you order.

Even though your barista likely knows what you’re talking about, it might save them a couple seconds of confusion.

Since bad colds pretty much interfere with life (and sanity), this may very well be your new go-to item when you’re feeling sick.

Bustle reports that the drink was first made through a hack — using hot water and steamed lemonade, customers usually put both a Jade Citrus Mint Green Tea bag and Peach Tranquility Tea bag in their cups. But, like the most classic food-based concoctions around, everyone had their own method.

If you can’t get to a Starbucks since you’re feeling too sick, you might want to stock up on some of the ingredients at home. That’s a benefit of this health drink being a tea, and not something only a barista could whip up, like a Frappuccino.

With a beverage like Medicine Ball Tea by your side, that cold might not be so bad after all.
