The world’s biggest Starbucks has opened in Japan, and it’s 32,000 square feet of pure joy. Dubbed a Starbucks Reserve Roastery, the new location in Tokyo is certainly not your run-of-the-mill Starbs. With four floors toting the best of the best Starbucks features, this place is worth booking a trip to Japan for.
According to the TicToc by Bloomberg Twitter account, the Willy Wonka-like futuristic design of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery was inspired by the iconic cherry blossom trees along Tokyo’s Meguro River. Copper cherry blossoms hang from a giant mobile, adding delicate detail to the warm industrial build of the new location.
The first floor is a fully-stocked bakery, offering breads, pastries, and baked goods galore. The second floor is the Teavana tea room. The third floor hosts the Arriviamo cocktail bar — yes, cocktails, like the Nakameguro Espresso Martini made with chestnut liquor, crème de cacao, and espresso.

So if you’re a lover of all things coffee, and/or a devout follower of the Starbucks brand, you may want to plan a trip to Tokyo.

There’s the classic flight, the flight with chocolate, the cold brew flight, and the brew comparison flight that allows customers to see how flavors are impacted by different brewing processes.
There is also reportedly a turmeric cotton candy-topped tea drink that is definitely the most lavish thing one will ever sip on.
