Ariana Grande Announced That She Developed An “Unfair” Allergy To Tomatoes

Earlier this week, Ariana Grande was forced to postpone two Florida concerts on her Sweetener World Tour after experiencing an “unfair” allergic reaction to tomatoes. She updated fans on Instagram on May 29th and shared her strange diagnosis.

“Update: we discovered ….. that ….. i had an unfortunate allergic reaction to tomatoes and my throat pretty much closed,” Grande wrote in her Instagram caption. “Still feels like i’m swallowing a cactus but slowly making progress! thank u all for your love and understanding. can’t wait to get back to performing and to make it up to Tampa and Orlando in November.”

“p.s.” she added, “there is NOTHING MORE UNFAIR THAN AN ITALIAN WOMAN DEVELOPING AN ALLERGY TO TOMATOES IN HER MID TWENTIES…….”

Honestly though. Someone must have cursed her. That’s the only explanation we can think of.

On Tuesday, May 28th, Grande told fans via her Instagram Story that she woke up that morning feeling “incredibly sick.” Per ABC News, her physician advised her to postpone her two slated shows in Tampa and Orlando, which left the singer “so beyond devastated.”

However, Grande, a Florida native, has already planned her comeback and will return to play those two shows in November. And this time, she won’t be eating anything with tomatoes before either show.

Although her allergic reaction to tomatoes smells like black magic to us, adult-onset food allergies are becoming more common in people over the age of 18.

In fact, a recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) shows that 11% of adults experience food allergies, and half of that population has developed food allergies later in life.

Now that they know the cause of their queen’s sickness, Arianators have thrown down the gauntlet and declared a war on tomatoes. How dare you, toms?

In fact, we didn’t like them anyway. Now we just have a good reason to hate on tomatoes.

Everyone is fine with a boycott. You in?

We will refrain from eating tomatoes until at least November. It’s like Lent, except with just tomatoes and it lasts several months.

One could say Arianators and tomatoes are officially beefing. And it’s getting ugly.

But have we stopped to think about how tomatoes might be feeling right now? They didn’t mean to hurt Grande. They really didn’t!

Perhaps we don’t have to choose sides. Maybe we can just all laugh at the irony of an Italian woman being allergic to tomatoes together… in harmony…

It’s truly one of the worst tragedies our generation has lived through. May 29th will go down in infamy as the day we learned our Italian princess can’t eat a major food from her homeland.

Sad. So sad.

Don’t rub it in, guys! Let her mourn!

But we must say… This is really funny.

Perhaps Grande cursed herself back in 2012. She wrote her own prophecy and now she is forever changed.

It looks like Grande will have to forgo the tomato sauce and stick to Alfredo. Oh well!

We’re glad she figured out what was making her feel ill and we’re looking forward to seeing Grande back on stage.
