Kendall Jenner’s 23rd Birthday Cake Looks Way Different Than You’d Expect

Kendall Jenner celebrated her 23rd birthday on November 3rd, and being a member of the world’s most famous family, we all expected the celebration to be ~off the wall~. However, Jenner had a pretty low-key day. In fact, her birthday was so normal, BFF Bella Hadid made Jenner’s birthday cake — and TBH, it was pretty boring.

Jenner and pals watched “horse shows,” munched on chips and guac, partied under streamers and balloons, and ended the night with karaoke. It was basically like every birthday party we’ve been to, and that makes us feel special.

Hadid uploaded a pic of her hand-crafted birthday cake to her Instagram Story and captioned it “homemade with love.” Hadid definitely scores good friend points for her efforts, but we’ll be honest, this cake is not what one would expect from someone who probably has an unlimited cake budget.

The cake itself is a basic one-layer sheet cake decorated with white icing, basic pearl and rainbow sprinkles, and a variety of mismatched candles. If anyone so desires, one can easily replicate this cake with materials from the grocery store (number candles included).

Obviously, it’s the thought that counts. Just because Jenner could afford to have a huge, over-the-top birthday cake, doesn’t mean she had to!

It’s actually really nice to know that all one needs to have a Kendall Jenner-inspired birthday party is a bunch of streamers, a boring cake, snacks, good friends, and maybe a party bus.
