Brie Larson is everywhere these days, and it’s easy to see why. She kicked major butt in Captain Marvel, one of the few movies with a female superhero fighting the battle against evil. She’s also the epitome of a strong and fierce woman, and we are so here for it. And as you can imagine, she also took on some intense physical training for her role as Captain Marvel.
According to an article on Popsugar, it started with blood work. Her trainer, Jason Walsh, shared that this was completed by a registered dietitian, who also happens to be an MD.
It also just goes to show that there isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach to healthy eating!
Obviously, when you’re training for a movie like Captain Marvel, you need a ton of energy to power through. So, Jason upped Brie’s daily caloric intake and had her eat lots of carbs. This ensured that her body had enough energy (in the form of glucose) to kick butt during training.
