Chrissy Teigen Is Not Messing Around When Responding To People Calling Her “Chubby Teigen”

If there’s anything worse than random strangers commenting on the way you look, please let me know — because I am pretty sure there’s not. In yet another incident of humans being the worst, a nasty troll launched a stupidity bomb at Chrissy Teigen (aka queen of the internet), and she was having NONE of it.

Now, of course, this is to be expected from someone who regularly tweets at the president and drunk tweets about calling into radio contests to her millions of followers. In general, she’s all about a clever clapback.

It all started when Nancy Pelosi tweeted about how she would announce the attendance of Chrissy and John Legend, Chrissy’s husband, at the House Democratic Issues Conference.

Obviously, this was troll bait, and the nasties came out with vitriol, attacking Teigen and Legend.

One of them wrote, “Tiegen got fat, holly zhit,” and then they wrote, “Fatty Tiegan at it again, attacking Ivanka Trump because she posts photos of her kids” — because that makes sense. And THEN this idiot wrote, “Instead of Chubby Tiegan stuffing her face, she needs to realize Ivanka & her kids aren’t illegals. How many illegals have multi millionaire Chubby Tiegan & her husband sponsored? NONE!”

This person decided to write, “Tiegan likes to attack people, so i’m attacking her weight, chubby needs to get to the gym.” For reference, you don’t need to comment on someone’s body simply because they don’t share your politics. If you want to make change, there are so many ways to do it: having a conversation, writing a letter to your governmental figures, or you know, reading a damn book.

He can’t even spell her name correctly!

That level of meanness, willful ignorance, and just plain stupidity is hard to even describe, but it’s weirdly unsurprising. The internet is a playground for people who want to hurt others and have no better way to direct their energy, no matter their beliefs. Besides, people who troll others that rudely on the internet usually have some sort of self-hatred they need to face within themselves — but ANYWAY, enough psychologizing.

So Teigen responded in classic Teigen form — with irreverence, a ton of confidence, and a dash of zing:

“I hate to say this but… you are not a small person? also I don’t care about my weight sooooo this does not hurt.”

And that’s when the supporters came in to show their love. We love to see the love!

To celebrate her genius, let’s take a look at some of the most classic Teigen tweets. Honestly, do we even need to follow anyone else?

And she’s not wrong. An Apple Watch just seems… a little over the top, no?

Also, we’re loving this random tweet about eating beef stew, which we actually totally understand.

There’s something about slurping down hot soup with chunks of meat that makes you feel… not that sexy.

She also just came for Game of Thrones fans, which is not surprising. But she better be prepared to respond to the enthusiasts.

She also thinks that we should make everyone look up for a group “humanity” photo — which is literally probably the smartest thing anyone has ever said, ever.

Chrissy has some REAL thoughts on bagels. To clarify, she also tweeted, “I mean you can, and should, slice them once, horizontally.” ONCE, OKAY?

She also needs some help blocking idiots like the trolls above on Twitter. Any applicants?

Back in 2013, she published her stance on chicken pot pies. What do you think? Are they underrated?

We like the, er, bad words she uses to describe the idea of Nintendo talking about tax returns. We feel the same way, Chrissy.

And by the way, this is the “fake” Dr. Pepper referenced above. We’re glad this “icing on the cake” flavor doesn’t exist. Ew — there are already too many weird flavors.
