Gordon Ramsay Announced The Birth Of His Fifth Baby In Such A Surprising Way

Chef Gordon Ramsay and wife Tana just welcomed their fifth child into the world today, April 4th. Ramsay shared the news via Instagram with a series of photos and a cheeky caption.

“After 3 baftas and one Emmy… finally we have won an Oscar, please welcome Oscar James Ramsay, who touched down at 12:58 today for some lunch ! Xxx” Ramsay captioned his Instagram post. We see what you did there, Gordon. Considering Ramsay is one of the most foul-mouthed people on television, we’re actually pretty surprised that his Instagram post is so sweet. Way to go, Dad! Keeping it G-rated this time.

Baby Oscar, just hours old, has already been set up with his own Instagram account. He doesn’t have any posts yet — he did just enter the world mere hours ago, after all — but he does have a whopping 9,500 followers. Oscar, you the man.

Oscar joins four other kids in the the Ramsay fam — Matilda, twins Holly and Jack, and Megan. Matilda, at 17 years old, is the closest in age to Oscar. Megan is the oldest at 21.

Ramsay and Tana were thrilled to announce their pregnancy in January of 2019 after the heartbreak of a miscarriage two years earlier. The MasterChef Junior judge posted a video of his family wishing his followers a Happy New Year on January first. “And guess what?” Ramsay said in the video, “Happy New Year because we’ve got another one coming. Oh, my lord!”

“Oh no!” Ramsay jokes in the video. Just when he and Tana were about to become empty nesters…

Chef posted this throwback photo days before Oscar’s arrival. “They grow up quickly….” Ramsay wrote in the caption. They certainly do!

Tana posted a photo in April 2018 of the twins when they were just days old. They are so tiny and Tana is glowing.

The Ramsay family is getting well-wishes and congratulations from all over the world. Riverdale’s Madelaine Petsch shared her love earlier today.

And actor Danny O’Carroll said what we were all thinking. “He is just perfect Gordon,” he wrote.

Hot Ones host Sean Evans gave a massive congrats. Let’s hope he doesn’t send them hot sauce as a baby gift.
