Jason Momoa/Instagram
We’re convinced Jason Momoa is a real-life superhero. If you beg to differ, just watch a video (literally, any video) of him working out. The guy can probably move a few boulders with his pinky and shrug it off like it was nothing. But of course, when it came to Aquaman, Momoa didn’t just focus on lifting weights and climbing walls. The Hawaiian-born actor was on a super strict diet, and you can be sure that it’s making us clutch onto our snacks for dear life.
According to Men’s Health, Momoa’s diet for the movie was heavy on the meat and veggies. He also cut out processed carbs, such as Doritos, donuts, and other sinfully delicious treats. However, as his trainer told Livestrong, Momoa did eat fruits before a workout. As a source of healthy unprocessed carbs, fruits gave him enough energy to power through those intense workouts and long days of filming.
Oh, and we can’t forget about the Guinness. Momoa loves the beer so much that he reportedly factored it into his Aquaman diet. Clearly, the guy knows what he wants, and you can be sure that he’ll set his mind to it.
Considering it took six months to film Aquaman, we can only imagine Momoa’s excitement when he was finally able to indulge in some treats (and Guinness, of course). And hey, if decides he wants to enjoy some Doritos, feel free to send him our way. We’ll gladly share.
