Jason Momoa Responded To The Little Girl Who Used Him To Sell Girl Scout Cookies

Looking to sell some extra boxes of Samoas? Easy. Just slap a photo of Jason Momoa on the box. Even though Girl Scout Charlotte Holmberg meant to sell these cookies as a joke, the story quickly went viral. Probably because Jason Momoa is kind of a hot commodity right now — especially on a box of Jason Momoa Girl Scout Cookies.

But even though the idea is adorable, there’s one person who probably should have shared his seal of approval first — and that’s Momoa himself.

There’s only a slim chance that Holmberg ran the advertisement past him. And even though it was just a joke and a very cute play on words, some celebrities take these false endorsements pretty seriously.

Luckily, Momoa seemed to have a sense of humor about it.

He’s just a little upset that he didn’t get any cookies in return. And it seems like he may have been slightly happier if he was able to personally endorse yet another popular flavor.

Entertainment Tonight approached the actor on the red carpet Sunday at the Academy Awards, and he was quick to chat up the sales technique.

“I love Girl Scout Cookies,” Momoa said. “I was waiting to get some free ones. I’d love some. I want the shortbread — and then you put those in the freezer, and that’s the best way.”

You have to admire the way he thinks. When it comes to Girl Scout Cookies, he’s all business.

But people were quick to point out that they’re lucky Momoa didn’t sue.

If it was a mock-up box of the fun product, that’s one thing — but actually selling them could have gotten them into a lot of trouble.

Give him a case of the cookies and be glad he’s not suing.

Some people are actually upset with the Girl Scouts’ parents for making this all happen.

Especially when Samoas are delicious, and could definitely sell themselves.

But hey — if Momoa is game, maybe this is actually something that might happen this year.

It’d be interesting to see how much Momoa would help sales. And even better, he doesn’t have to do any additional work.

Any photo will probably drive the point home.

It’s good that a reporter made sure to ask Momoa. The actor doesn’t seem to be a fan of social media, so it was unclear whether or not he was following the story.

Supposedly, the cookies were a big hit with moms. Wonder why.

Not only is Momoa incredibly talented, but there are a lot of ladies out there who can’t stop staring at him.

He’s a bit like Ryan Gosling in the “a majority of women find him attractive” sense.

But, it’s more than just moms who’d be willing to fork over some cash. Others on the internet also stated they’d buy a box (or five).

They, uh… know Jason Momoa isn’t inside, right?

Momoas probably wouldn’t even make it into the pantry.

They’d get prime counter space. Out of the way, blender!

Or, you could store them in the freezer if you wanted to eat them true Momoa-style. So — was he kidding about the free product?

Because surely the Girl Scouts would have no problem with that, especially since he helped them sell a ton of cookies.

Accompanied by his wife, Lisa Bonet, she piped in and said that Momoa “just wants his cut.” So, perhaps they are serious.

So, what happens if the dream came true and Momoa was able to represent Shortbread cookies?

What would they be called? As he’s reportedly 6’4″, my best personal contribution is “Tallbreads.”

(I admit, it’s not my best work. It doesn’t have the same flow as “Momoas” do.)

It doesn’t matter what they’re called. If Jason Momoa is on the box, they’re going to sell.

So, now that he knows this, it might be time for Momoa to start endorsing some products. There are so many companies who’d love to have Momoa as their leading man.

At the Oscars, he made headlines for wearing a pink Fendi scrunchie on his wrist, probably in case the venue got hot.

So, does anyone have a scrunchie company that needs representation? (Or, does anyone want to start a scrunchie company for a chance to meet Momoa?)

If you’re selling Girl Scout Cookies, you may want to reconsider if you’re planning a similar scheme.

Momoa may think it’s a cute idea if one Scout did it one year, but if it became a “thing,” he may get a bit more serious about protecting his name.

Good thing Samoas don’t really need his help. According to the Girl Scouts, they’re the second most popular cookie. It’s very hard to dethrone the Thin Mint.
