She’s at it again, folks. Khloé Kardashian is under fire (again) for promoting Flat Tummy Co.’s meal replacement shakes. The reality star posted an Instagram ad for the company yesterday, May 22nd, and a lot of her followers aren’t happy that she’s continuing to promote a brand that amps up consumers’ insecurities.
“Ok you guys… I’ve been putting in work, adding in @flattummyco meal replacement shakes and I’m seriously feeling so good,” Khloé captioned her #ad post. “My energy is up, my cravings are controlled and I actually feel like I’m a total tummy knockout.”
Flat Tummy Co. is best known for its appetite-suppressant lollipops, aimed to help clientele eat less and slim down, as well as its “tummy teas” that encourage water weight loss. These teas contain natural diuretic properties that loosen stools to help consumers expel unwanted excess fluids and waste. Yeah — this is just a nice way of saying that they make you have diarrhea.
These types of products are okay to use if someone is struggling with constipation. However, constant use could lead to dehydration and potassium depletion, and can even cause muscle spasms and heart irregularities.
Furthermore, detox tea, meal replacement shakes, and appetite-suppressant candy plays into the narrative that you are not good enough as you are. But if you use Flat Tummy Co.’s product, you can look like a Kardashian.

It’s not like Khloé needs the extra money. So why continue to promote a brand that seemingly goes against the message you’re trying to send?

This promotion just seems greedy and in poor taste. We know Khloé (and her tummy tea-promoting sisters) can do better.

There’s no way Khloé can be on this Flat Tummy Co. regimen and still be able to make all the public appearances she does (if you catch our drift).

In fact, Khloé responded to Jamil after removing her post. She stated in a March 30th interview with The New York Times, “Well, listen, I am showing you what to do, silly person, 15 repetitions, three times, here’s the move,” she said in regards to Jamil’s claim that fitness is how she attained her flat tummy — not the tea.
It’s strange that, after deleting her previous ad due to the intense backlash, Khloé tried to advertise Flat Tummy Co. once again. She’s just not getting it, is she?

Khloé, listen. You have a platform that allows you to spread positivity and empowering messages. Do that. Don’t do this.
We have hope that Khloé will wake up eventually. Today is obviously not that day.
