“Riverdale’s” Lili Reinhart Ate Her Met Gala Dessert In A Video That’s Equal Parts Freaky And Hilarious

Riverdale’s Lili Reinhart attended the 2019 Met Gala last night, May 6th, and looked like a queen. She stunned in a Marie Antoinette-inspired Ferragamo teal jumpsuit, complete with huge campana sleeves and a massive train. Inside the event, Reinhart also ate like a queen. Or, wait — did she eat like a queen, or did she eat a queen? We’re honestly not sure.

Reinhart shared a picture of the dessert at the Gala. It pretty much looks like a Marie Antoinette figurine, which is very apropos considering Reinhart’s outfit inspiration.

According to Vogue, the fondant-looking figures served for dessert at the Met Gala were actually servings of cake with “male-female” toppers. “We developed a lovely Gianduja cake with a ‘male-female’ topper — male on one side, female on the other,” Met Gala caterer Olivier Cheng told Vogue. He added, “Bit of a double entendre.”

They certainly are cute, and Reinhart seemingly liked the taste. She later shared a video of herself “dismembering” the poor little cake person. We’re getting flashbacks from that one scene with the Gingerbread Man in Shrek. Not the gumdrop buttons, Reinhart!

The actress actually snapped a pic of BF Cole Sprouse’s dessert, which leads us to believe he perhaps let Reinhart have his dessert. Maybe she loved the Gianduja cake (which is a chocolate and hazelnut cake, BTW) so much, he let her have his, too.

Here’s the reverse side of the cake. That little mustache is too adorable.

The poor little thing didn’t stand a chance. RIP.

Even without its body, the little figurine is still so cute! We want one!

Later in the evening, Reinhart indulged in even more cake, which is so Marie Antoinette of her. She treated herself to a post-Met Gala cupcake.

Talk about doing the Met Gala right. If you’re not there for the fashion and the food, then you’re not living your best life.

And talk about a power couple. Reinhart and Cole Sprouse slayed the pink carpet and were ultimate #couplegoals.

Marie Antoinette? Or Alice and the Mome Raths?

Reinhart went ’90s does 18th century France for the after-party look.

Is it just us, or are you also getting Ashley Tisdale during the High School Musical era from this pic?

Now do you see it? Told you.

Sprouse and Reinhart were joined on the pink carpet by their fellow Riverdale castmates Camila Mendes and beau Charles Melton. Mendes was serving some major Belle from Beauty and the Beast vibes and we loved every second of it.

The makeup! The feathered skirt!

Riverdale’s Madelaine Petsch was also on the pink carpet last night. She wore a gorgeous fairy-like Jean Paul Gaultier creation.

If Tinker Bell was into high fashion, this would be her look. Hands down.

We’re glad to know the sweets and treats at the Met Gala were just as amazing as the fashion. And Lili, we love you as Betty on Riverdale, but we also ~love~ you as Marie Antoinette.

Now where in the heck can we get one of those cute Met Gala cakes? Ebay? Please help!
