We’re seeing double. On March 28th, Ree Drummond — aka Food Network’s The Pioneer Woman — posted photos of her eldest daughter Alex on Instagram, and holy twinning. These two are seriously the same person. The saving grace is that the mother-daughter duo have different hair colors. Otherwise, we’d be utterly boggled and confused.
“Alex will graduate from college in May, and one of her best friends took her senior pics for her,” Drummond captioned the series of photos. “I love all the photos (you can swipe to see others) because they capture my oldest child so perfectly…but my favorite is the first one: Parked in front of Kyle Field, mowing down a to-go container of Fuego queso. THAT’S MY GIRL!! ❤️ Love you, Alex.”
Alex will graduate from Texas A&M University in May, and will be the first of the Drummond clan to earn her college diploma. Her sister Paige, age 19, is studying at the University of Arkansas. And brothers Bryce, 16, and Todd, 15, are in their last years of high school.
What the heck? It seems like yesterday that all the Drummond kids were helping their dad, Ladd, herd cattle while momma Ree cooked up some amazing cowboy-worthy meals and snacks back at the homestead.
“While I was happy about Alex’s accomplishment, I mostly celebrated the fact that she has found such a strong circle of support in college,” Drummond captioned an Instagram in celebration of her daughter’s achievement.
The oldest Drummond sister has come a long way from her kiddo days. She went from kid rancher to college grad in what seems like a blink of the eye.
And obviously, the Drummond kids lucked out in the genes department. Their mother has been a goddess from the start.
Honestly…we’re pretty proud and she’s not even our daughter. Is that weird? Sorry.
What year is it? Have we been asleep or…?
Agreed, agreed, agreed. And also agreed.
Congrats on almost graduating, Alex. We can’t wait to see what you get up to in your post-grad life.
