In the words of Janice: OH! MY! GOD!
With the 25th anniversary of Friends approaching, The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf collaborated with Warner Bros. to bring you the taste of Central Perk coffee.
While the Friends-inspired coffee and tea products won’t be served by Rachel Green or to the tune of Phoebe Buffay’s “Smelly Cat,” all your favorite sitcom characters have been perfectly reimagined as specialty beverages.
This feels like the perfect way to commemorate the gang’s TV milestone, since the six Friends characters drinking coffee on the orange couch is forever ingrained into our memories.
The drinks available include Central Perk Medium Roast, Central Perk Dark Roast, Central Perk Tea, and specialty beverages including The Joey (Mango Cold Brew Tea), The Monica (Midnight Mocha Cold Brew), The Rachel (Matcha Latte), The Ross (Classic Flat White), The Chandler (Caramel Coconut Latte), and The Phoebe (Cookies and Cream Ice Blended.)
With so many options, you can choose your favorite character, or what you think will taste the best. So, if you love Phoebe, but can’t stomach a milkshake on the way to work, you can definitely play it safe with either of the Geller siblings.
The one we’re dying to try? The Chandler. While we feel the flavor better suits Joey (after all, he went nuts over Monica’s candy and rioted for more in their apartment), a Caramel Coconut Latte sounds as sweet as our favorite TV husband.
All the Central Perk-inspired drinks will be available for purchase online starting today and in retail stores starting July 31st until the end of summer.
More good news, Coffee Bean will also offer a special Buy-One-Get-One-Free on August 4th in honor of National FRIENDship Day, so you better bring the Monica to your Rachel.
Take a look below to see what all the character’s drinks look like, so you’ll already know what to order!
If it’s good enough for Chandler Bing, it’s good enough for the rest of the world. While Chandler usually makes jokes when he’s uncomfortable, we have a feeling he would have a hilarious one-liner about this drink too. Could it BE any more nutty? No, nope, that was lame.
Rachel has always been a trendsetter, so it’s no surprise she is a matcha enthusiast. We like to think she has a fabulous intern picking up her drink, or in another universe her old flame, Tag Jones, from her days working at Ralph Lauren.
If you want to take a break from your usual order, this is a classic. The Ross drink is straight and to the point, just like his character. This is perfect for listening to your paleontology professor drone on about dinosaurs, or when your on-again-off again girlfriend expects you to read an 18 page long letter front and back in the middle of the night.
No doubt the sugar in this drink will have you singing just like Phoebe and walking around with an extra pep in your step. Phoebe has the heart of a kid, so the combination of sweet and chocolate cookie pieces is something she would definitely order.
We have a feeling you’ll love this flavor as much as Monica loves cleaning. Per Coffee Bean’s press release, her drink was designed with compulsive cleaners and perfectionists in mind.
While Joey Tribbiani has always had a “Well, the fridge broke, so I had to eat everything” mentality, this fruity cold brew sounds refreshing and light. The only thing that could brighten our day more is if Joey asked us, “How you doin’?”
Don’t worry, this isn’t the only company paying homage to Friends. Pottery Barn also announced a collection that will have your place looking just like one of the six New Yorkers.
