We Have Urgent News About McDonald’s Shamrock Shake

Um… is today Valentine’s Day, or is it Christmas morning? Or maybe it’s Saint Patrick’s Day? We don’t know for sure. All we can tell you is that as of yesterday, February 13th, the McDonald’s Shamrock Shake is officially back. It looks like the gold at the end of the rainbow really does exist — and it’s mint green.

The iconic Shamrock Shake, made with McDonald’s vanilla soft serve, Shamrock Shake syrup, and whipped cream, will be in stores for a limited time starting today, February 14th, through March 24th.

Since the 1970s, the St. Patty’s day-themed Shamrock Shake has been a favorite among McDonald’s customers. And to keep up with the ever-changing times, McDonald’s has introduced a Shamrock Shake-finding feature within its app that locates every McDonald’s location serving Shamrock Shakes in your immediate area. Isn’t technology a wonderful thing?

Of course, there’s a minor drawback to McDonald’s Shamrock Shake season. More often than not, McDonald’s customers take to social media to air their grievances about the seemingly constant broken-down state of McDonald’s soft serve machines. We took a deep-dive into that McMystery back in December. Although the explanation doesn’t make us any less frustrated, it clears up a bit of the confusion.

But when the machines are up and running, those Shamrock Shakes are a beautiful thing to behold.

And McDonald’s fans are wilding out about the reintroduction of the Shamrock Shake. We want it, we need it, we crave it.

Yell it from the rooftops! Shout it from the top of the Golden Arches!

Shamrock Shake season makes the winter bearable. That’s a huge superpower to have.

Our New Year’s resolution was going well… up until now…

Huh. Where’d you get this live footage of us racing to Mickey D’s?

Wait — how can we make this GIF our desktop background? Tech gurus, chime in at any time.

Truer words have never been spoken. Sorry, Valentine’s Day. You’ve been upstaged.

Seriously, V-Day. You can leave at any point.

Ahem… the door is that way. Let’s not make this more awkward than it has to be.

The fast food gods are good gods. They listen. They deliver.

Even all of us lactose intolerant babes know the Shamrock Shake is worth the pain. It is worth it, right?

We apologize to our local McDonald’s employees in advance. It’s going to be pure chaos from now until March 24th.

Woah — for a minute we thought this shining yellow beacon was the Holy Grail. We’re still not totally convinced it’s not, TBH.

The wait is over. Rise from your “fat ass” and get what you deserve.

As we all know, Shamrocks Shakes will not be around forever. Get to your local McDonald’s stat to start the St. Patty’s Day celebrations early.
