Panera Bread Just Created A New Type Of Mac And Cheese For Their Menu

Yeah, yeah, you’ve heard of Panera’s iconic “You Pick 2” option where you can order two half-sized Panera items. But have you heard of Panera’s newest craze, the “You Mix 2″ option? No? Well, let us enlighten you, because it’s freaking ah-mah-zing.

Basically, You Mix 2 items are ultimate mashups of some of your favorite Panera menu items.

Thanks to MyPanera members who shared their favorite menu hacks, the company decided to hack their own menu and give the people what they want without the need to order two separate foods.

So, for example, there’s the Mac-Tomato Medley, the lovechild of the cheese-tacular Panera Mac & Cheese and their Creamy Tomato Soup.

Served in a creamy, cheesy tomato sauce with crunchy croutons, it’s heaven one can eat with a spoon.

There are eight You Mix 2 options, each of which sounds better than the last. The Southwest Chili Shakeup, a mix of the Southwest Chili Lime Ranch Salad and the Turkey Chili, is a fiesta in your mouth. The chili is basically the salad dressing.

And the Caprese Groove has mashed together Panera’s Modern Caprese with the Creamy Tomato Soup.

It’s a deconstructed sandwich complete with “smoky tomato confit and vine-ripened pear tomato purée” that creates “a medley of tangy flavor,” Panera’s site reads.

Panera also introduced the Delicious Cheese Times, which is a mashup of their Mac & Cheese and Broccoli Cheddar Soup (served with kettle-cooked potato chips on top).

— Soup Symphony: a mix of Baked Potato Soup and Broccoli Cheddar Soup

— Dipping Duet: the Classic Grilled Cheese paired with the Creamy Tomato Soup

— Tomato Tango: the Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad dressing mixed into the Creamy Tomato Soup

— Chili Cheddar Bassline: the Broccoli Cheddar Soup mixed with the Turkey Chili

This is all really overwhelming for us.

Yum, yum, and more yum. The need to hack no longer exists.

Although… despite the glory that is the You Mix 2 menu, we have to wonder if there are any other Panera hacks we should be made aware of.
