If you’re on Facebook, you’ve probably seen the Florida Man Challenge. And as challenges go, this one’s pretty tame and hysterical. Even better, you can do it in an instant.

My apologies to people who live in Florida, since I know how bad it stinks to be mocked on the internet for a trait you can’t help.

(See: my first name.) I also understand the pains of living in a state that gets its fair share of abuse. (I’m from New Jersey.) But, sometimes you just need to join in on the laughter. It just so happens that men from Florida seem to get into a bunch of weird predicaments that make for bonkers headlines.

And… it happens so often that pretty much everyone’s birthday aligns with a “Florida Man” story.

At least there’s peace in knowing this isn’t the same guy committing all these wacky crimes.

Want to participate?

Here’s what you need to do. Just type “Florida Man” into Google, followed by your birthday. The best results don’t include the year, so that’s not important. Then, the first result that pops up (cancelling out any stories regarding the challenge itself) is your result.

Now, here’s where things get extra fun.

Some of these results, including my own, are food related.

My birthday is on January 22nd, so by typing in “Florida Man January 22,” here’s what I got.

The Smoking Gun

And this is what our senior editor, Anna Gragert, found when she Googled.

Google

We’re not alone. So many of these involve men from Florida doing crazy things at restaurants or with food.

NBC Miami

Even though it’s always been a dream to have a vending machine at home (with unlimited quarters), this Florida Man took it a little too far. Luckily there was surveillance.

Google

Fast food isn’t safe for a Florida Man. This story is almost too unbelievable to be true (unless he actually personally knew the cashier, that is).

Complex

In April of 2018, a Florida Man went to seven different eateries for a very gross crime. Imagine this being his claim to fame.

Fox News

It’s a shame that this interaction ended so poorly. Hey guys, here’s a tip — if you want to ask someone out, don’t bring a knife.

WTFFlorida

Inspired by the challenge, a brand new Twitter account emerged. It’s called “365 Days Of Florida Man,” and promises to be a pretty entertaining follow.

Of course, this is the news. Some of these stories can get pretty grim, even if they are focused around food.

Google

But more often than not, a headline is laughably terrible. Like, why was this guy naked?

Thrillist

Sometimes, the Florida Man happens to be the victim. One example is this story, which took place at a KFC.

Google

But usually, he’s a villain. This happened after a breakup, and should make you feel bad for both the woman and the burrito.

Google

But, there’s a fair amount of pizza crimes, too. Like this weird story.

ABC Action News

And this one. Which will make you truly believe the power of pizza.

Google

But, for all the food-related headlines out there? This one has to be the #1 funniest.

Google

I’m just dying to know what was going through his head. I guess handing over a taco is better than handing over nothing, right?

Hopefully, Florida Man has a much better end of the year. Men from Florida, just beware — if you choose to do something crazy like this, you’ll be showing up in Google searches before you know it.
