Gwyneth Paltrow’s Wedding Diet Will Shock You In The Best Way

Gwyneth Paltrow's wedding diet

When it comes to Gwyneth Paltrow, people have opinions. She’s a phenomenal actress, but her lifestyle choices often make people raise eyebrows. Everything she does is extremely healthy — but also a little extreme.

For example, you might not have seen a Gwyneth Paltrow movie in the last decade, but still happen to know that she believes in vaginal steaming. She also notoriously went on a goat milk cleanse once that lasted over a week. And, she was one of names attached to the oil pulling fad. Forgot about oil pulling? It’s when you swish coconut oil in your mouth for 20 minutes to help detox your mouth. It’s reportedly not a bad thing to add to your morning routine, but it’s one of the many odd health rituals that Paltrow reportedly swore by.

Paltrow got married to Brad Falchuk back in 2018, and even her life right now isn’t close to normal. For one, she doesn’t actually live with him full time. “All my married friends say that the way we live sounds ideal and we shouldn’t change a thing,” the actress told The Sunday Times.

So, you’d imagine that in prepping for her wedding, Paltrow would have followed a strange diet and awkward beauty tips. Oddly enough, that’s not true at all.

Women often put a lot of unnecessary stress on themselves before a wedding. All of their family and friends will be there, so they want to look their best.

But that usually means crazy diets and expensive beauty treatments. You make yourself feel like it’ll all be worth it, since you hope to just get married once.

It’s nice to primp and feel confident about your day-of look. But, it goes overboard if the bride’s method is to starve themselves or go on any sort of damaging fast.

Maybe brides should actually take Paltrow’s advice on how to best prep. She was so nervous that she couldn’t even try any newfangled way of preparation.

On the Goop podcast titled The Beauty Closet, Paltrow admitted that she was all about grease and alcohol. As she should be.

“I was too stressed! No, I was really like French fries and whiskey right up to the day,” she admitted. “It’s the new Goop way, okay?”

It should serve as no shock, but Paltrow looked absolutely incredible that day. She’s always gorgeous, but all of her photos just radiate a natural glow.

It’s almost a relief to know that Paltrow went easy on herself. She’s got a lot going on in her life, so she should be able to kick back and eat what she wants — even if it’s not healthy.

Even if Paltrow pigged out on French fries and whiskey every day, she likely balanced it with a lot of healthy fruits and vegetables. In fact, she went over her diet in a Goop podcast one time, according to E! News.

In the mornings, she usually drinks a smoothie that contains almond milk and coconut oil. So, there’s probably a lot of coconut oil in her house on a regular basis.

Paltrow said that her lunch usually consisted of a lean protein, like chicken or tuna, and a salad. She does have a version of a veggie BLT for when she’s cutting out meat.

For dinner, she gives herself a little more wiggle room. That’s probably when she had her French fries and whiskey.

She’s also not as fond as cleanses as you may think. Her podcast went on to state that she typically just does one per year.

So, yes. Hearing about her pre-wedding diet definitely made Paltrow a lot more relatable.

If you’re a bride, you should remember to be easy on yourself. You’re going to look gorgeous no matter what, and if Gwyneth Paltrow allows herself to eat some French fries and have a little whiskey every once in a while, you should too.
