This Man Gave His Wife A Cake Shaped Like Her Favorite Thing, And LOL

Think you’re in a great relationship? Well, you might want to compare it to the marriage of Waylon and Emily McGuire. Emily just celebrated her birthday, and husband Waylon got her the best thing ever.

Like many of us, Emily happens to be an avid Amazon shopper. It’s hard not to be one, especially as a Prime member. There’s something thrilling about knowing that your items will arrive in just a couple days. And for the McGuire’s, several Amazon packages arrive at their doorstep each week.

Amazon has more or less replaced in-store shopping for a lot of us. It’s still fun to go to the mall, but with really great return policies, Amazon is almost dominating every department. They can even deliver your groceries.

And, if Waylon were to make his own birthday cake for Emily, he probably would have ordered the ingredients off of Amazon.

Instead, he chose to leave it to the pros – Sweet Dreams Bakery in North Carolina. The company made an entire cake that looked exactly like a standard Amazon delivery box. Seriously, the bakers didn’t leave any detail out, and Emily actually thought it was a legitimate delivery when she first saw it. They even included (edible) packing tape.

The cake even has her name on it.

How perfect is that?

Now, this isn’t the first Amazon box cake to hit the internet. But it’s one of the best.

Including mini marshmallows as packing material is almost genius. It’s particularly great since it evokes the same feeling we all get when an Amazon box appears at the front door (even if it’s filled with necessities and no splurges.)

The cake above was reportedly ordered by Amazon.

You’d assume the company would be over boxes, but this one’s at least the most delicious.

This one obviously includes a lot of TLC. Kudos to the team over at SweetMandyCakes for getting the small print lettering just right.

And then there’s this cake.

If it actually included the doormat, that’s a fantastic detail.

One of the best parts about this cake is that the baker listed what’s inside when you cut into it.

Ever wonder what an Amazon box might taste like? This one’s a chocolate and vanilla marble cake.

But, let’s talk more about the birthday cake from the McGuires.

Because really, if the address wasn’t on “birthday lane,” this would look completely legit.

Emily has a great sense of humor. She admitted she couldn’t stop laughing after the cake was presented to her, stating “I laughed so hard. I thought it was a real box at first.”

The cake went viral thanks to Facebook.

Emily, a photographer, posted it on her business page.

In the post, she made sure to add the hashtag of #hubbydidgood.

According to CNN, Waylon doesn’t normally surprise his wife with crazy cakes like this, but it might be a new tradition for the couple.

As expected, the two became #couplegoals on Twitter.

It’s obvious that Waylon really gets Emily.

But seriously, this may become a total gamechanger for birthday cakes.

My standard favorite is Fudgie the Whale from Carvel. But maybe my husband can surprise me with something, too.

Even if your loved ones don’t order a cake that looks like your ultimate favorite thing, just remember. Cake is cake, and it’s always delicious.
