Here’s When You Can Snag Reese’s And Hershey’s Whipped Cream

Let’s take a second to bow down to whipped cream. It’s the best topping for a Frappuccino, pumpkin pie, or hot chocolate. Really, there’s no wrong way to utilize whipped cream as far as desserts go — but having a little variety might be nice. There’s a (wonderful) rumor that Reese’s and Hershey’s are releasing their own flavor of whipped cream, and it sounds like the perfect product for those of us out there with a sweet tooth. If these guys aren’t making this a reality, they really should.

So, who started the rumor? Well, an Instagrammer by the username of markie_devo posted a picture of the two new whipped creams side by side the other day, and gave a bit more information. “I heard the snack internet world needed saving, so I have come to the rescue👊🏼.. The wonderful world of whipits is about to be turned upside down!!” markie_devo wrote. “Hershey’s is releasing a milk chocolate and Reese’s whipped cream the 3rd week of July and will be available at all major retailers.” How good does peanut butter whipped cream sound? Omg!

Here’s what we can tell about markie_devo — they’re an Instagram food blogger who’s fond of new menu items and limited-edition products. Like, well, all of us here.

Would Devo lead the world astray, especially when it comes to a delicious offering like whipped cream? Hopefully not. With over 27,000 followers, Devo is often in-the-know about new items. Hershey’s hasn’t confirmed or denied the product development, according to Delish.

No matter what, it’s safe to at least dream about what an already-delicious pie would taste like with a peanut butter-inspired whip on top. If these products hit stores when Devo says they will, you might want to stock a few for Thanksgiving to really make your dinner guests smile.

Did you know that you can simply make your own chocolate or peanut butter whipped cream? Take heavy whipping cream, a couple teaspoons of powdered sugar, a drop or two of vanilla, and either cocoa powder or a teaspoon of peanut butter. Use a hand mixer to whip until it’s the consistency of whipped cream. Easy.
