Hershey’s New Reese’s Pieces Chocolate Bar Is So Beautiful, It’s Making Us Cry

This is not a drill — Hershey’s created a new candy bar and it’s the best idea they’ve ever had. I know that’s a tough title to give out (since there aren’t many chocolate bars out there that are terrible), but when you hear about what’s inside, you’ll wonder why they didn’t think of it sooner.

The bar doesn’t have a fancy name. Instead, it’s simply a new twist a classic. Ready for it? Hershey’s made the genius call to combine their standard chocolate bar with Reese’s Pieces. You heard that right — it’s called a Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Bar with Reese’s Pieces. And I want 20 of them.

Now, the bad news. This bar is set to hit stores in late November. But perhaps that’s a good thing, since you’ll totally be out of Halloween candy by then.

Who knows? Maybe if this bar is successful enough, you’ll see miniatures in time for Halloween 2019.

“The mashup between Hershey’s Milk Chocolate and Reese’s Pieces candy is an ultimate celebration of the top two iconic chocolate franchises that will melt your heart to pieces for a once-in-a-lifetime epic treat,” said Kriston Ohm, senior manager of Hershey’s, according to Delish.

Simply put, it’s a product you likely never knew you needed until right now. And it’s such a no-brainer combo. Since you’re already familiar with both products, it’s something you already know you’ll like right off the bat.

Even better, this bar has a pretty incredible origin story. Delish reports that it was inspired by the engagement of Hershey’s fans Jenny Ries and Craig Hirschey (which are both spelled differently, but pronounced the way you’d assume). Their nuptials then inspired the “marriage” of Reese’s and Hershey in candy form. Aside from the new chocolate bar, the two scored an inspired photoshoot in Hershey, PA to celebrate the news.

Hey, it’s better than an endorsement from Jenny Craig, which would have been their second option. A Hershey’s wedding is way more fun.
