Krispy Kreme Has A Secret Popcorn That We Needed In Our Lives, Like, Yesterday

Um… we’re feeling shocked. We’re feeling awed. We’re feeling like we need to book a trip across the pond ASAP. Godfather of the glazed doughnut Krispy Kreme has a secret item that’s only available in the U.K. Prepare to weep, people.

Krispy Kreme U.K. sells glazed popcorn that tastes just like the company’s signature doughnuts, and we need to talk to a manager. Excuse us, but why hasn’t the U.S. jumped on this bandwagon? We need an explanation, and we need it NOW.

Instagram user @mnmtwinz posted a photo of the glorious snack item on March 24th. It’s a photo so beautiful that we feel confident in comparing it to “The Mona Lisa.” Three bags of Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Popcorn stand alert behind two glistening Krispy Kreme doughnuts and a bowl of the popcorn itself.

We’d be lying if we said we didn’t shed a single tear upon first glance.

“Inspired by their signature melt-in-your mouth doughnuts, these have a softer texture than traditional popcorn,” @mnmtwinz captioned their post. “Fortunately, the glaze is plentiful and sweet! The taste isn’t identical to the iconic doughnuts, but they are still tasty. If you or someone you know loves Krispy Kreme, we definitely recommend trying them.”

Well, we would try them. But we can’t because we are AN ENTIRE OCEAN away.

What’s even worse than not being able to get our hands on this stuff right now is that Krispy Kreme popcorn has been available since… February 2018. So, none of you guys were going to fill us in?

Are we even friends anymore?

Not only are we feeling shocked, we’re also feeling heartbroken. We thought we had each other’s backs, guys.

Okay, so maybe it’s our fault for not getting the 411. Krispy Kreme U.K. has been sharing their popcorn on social media for a while now.

Fine. We’ll take the hit this time.

And actually, maybe our hearts can be healed. According to @mnmtwinz, Krispy Kreme popcorn can actually be ordered online from GB Gifts (£5.99/bag) and shipped stateside for free.

We guess miracles do happen. And we guess we’ll be ordering at least 15 bags of Krispy Kreme popcorn.

And while we’re at it, we’ll certainly be adding a packet of Krispy Kreme Jelly Belly Jelly Beans to our virtual basket. Yeah, you read that correctly. Krispy Kreme Jelly Belly.

It’s okay, U.K. friends. We don’t blame you for not enlightening us to the existence of Krispy Kreme popcorn. We’d want to keep it to ourselves, too.

But we won’t lie — it stings. This could have been us:
