This Mom Is Pissed At The “Disgusting” Kids Meal A Restaurant Gave Her Child

We don’t know about you, but when we place an order for a plate of chicken nuggets, we expect to get a plate of chicken nuggets. That would explain why one U.K. mom is furious after her child received a total of ~three~ chicken nuggets with a side of ~seven~ French fries in his kids meal. Um — this simply will not do.

Vickie Priddle and her son sat down to lunch at Gatsby in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.

After ordering a classic nuggets and fries meal, she and her son were stunned at what arrived. “Are you kidding me?” Priddle’s son said upon the dish’s arrival, according to Chronicle Live.

Priddle, who was charged £4.25 for the meal, called the portion size “disgusting.”

Chronicle Live reports that management at the Gatsby said the head chef was out that afternoon, suffering with a bad back. Furthermore, they claim that Priddle and her son snubbed “half their meal” by opting out of receiving a side of beans or peas. However, the main manager admitted that the dismal-looking plate should not have gone to the table.

“The plate shouldn’t have gone out,” the manager told Chronicle Live. “I agree she should have had more chips. It is a one-off.”

Three nuggets wouldn’t come close to appeasing anyone’s appetite. Sorry.

Rather than take it up with the management at the time, Priddle decided to take a photo of the plate and share it on social media.

The Gatsby staff recognized Priddle and her family as regulars, and wish she would have talked to them first.

“I should have complained in the pub to be fair but my mam felt cr*p — she just wanted to eat and leave,” Priddle told Chronicle Live.

Although The Gatsby invited the Priddle family back in order for them to redeem themselves, Priddle says she wasn’t trying to get a free meal out of the ordeal.

She simply wanted to warn people.

We appreciate the warning — although, being regulars at The Gatsby, we hope Priddle gives the restaurant a second chance.

But we get the frustration. We take nuggets very seriously.

And getting a single serving of three chicken nuggets would be a major diss.

We expect the standard fast food number of ten (or sometimes nine, or sometimes eleven).

If we don’t get what we expect, then you won’t want to be around during the aftermath. It gets ugly, and fast.

We will always be front and center during the “which chicken nugget is better” debate. And that’s because we care.

We really hate to discriminate against any chicken nugget at all, truth be told.

Even the ones we bake at home are damn good.

Everything about chicken nuggets make us happy. Their crispy fried breading; their juicy, tender inside; their portability.

There is no wrong time to nugget up. Morning, noon, night — we’ve always got nuggets on the brain.

We are those zombie creatures going through the drive thru in the wee morning hours. It’s us.

Honestly, if you haven’t had nuggets for breakfast, you seriously need to get on that. Life-changing.
