When You Bite Into This New Monster Batter Krispy Kreme Donut, Something Surprising Will Spill Out

It seems like every company is giving it their all this 2018 Halloween season — and Krispy Kreme is no exception. The company, best known for their yummy donuts, released four treats to help celebrate, and two are completely brand new. Even though all of them look amazing, there’s one that stands out from the crowd.

Like most Halloween treats, these donuts will be around until the end of the month. But if you only have time to sample one, it should totally be their new Monster Batter flavor. This one could almost be considered interactive. When you bite into it, cake batter emerges. That’s a whole new level of spooky, especially if you’re not expecting it.

The cake batter isn’t the only thing that makes this donut spooky. It’s covered in slime-green icing and features a few monster eyes on top, along with edible confetti. It’s perfect for pretty much any Halloween party, and a huge inspiration to home bakers out there as well. There’s not much in this world that’s better than cake batter. The closest opponent is probably cookie dough.

It’ll also get heads turning on Instagram. The green icing that Krispy Kreme uses is quite festive.

Of course, the other three Krispy Kreme donuts should also get a mention. One of their new donuts is glazed, dipped in salted caramel, and topped with Halloween candy, which is perfect for any chocolate and caramel fan. The two others have been introduced in previous years — a Jack-O-Lantern donut and the Chocolate Iced donut that includes festive Halloween sprinkles.

It’s hard not to just buy a dozen for yourself. If that ends up happening, hey — these donuts won’t be available next month, so might as well (trick or) treat yourself.
