If you thought Oreos covered every base in terms of tasty new cookies, wait until you hear this news. The company, famous for the world’s most beloved chocolate stuffed cookie (sorry, Hydrox), just outdid themselves with a brand new Oreo experience that’s about to make its way to shelves. Called the Oreo State Fair Cookie, it’s got layers.
Each Oreo is coated in either chocolate or vanilla crunch, making the treats look similar to the deep-fried Oreo, which you might see at (you guessed it) a state fair.
These aren’t your standard Oreos — they’ll require a microwave to get them to the level you want. Of course, if you want to let them defrost naturally, there’s no shame in that either. Rumored to be available exclusively at Walmart, you’ll be able to find them in the freezer section. Each pack includes, according to the current box, “about 9 cookies.” Each cookie weighs in at 130 calories.
Here’s what they look like, according to the Michigan-based Instagram account JunkFoodMom, whose account is straight-up delicious.
“It’s supposed to taste like a deep-fried Oreo,” JunkFoodMom wrote. “If you haven’t had the pleasure of having one yet…you can forget all about that Summer bod.” Hey, totally worth it. I’d rather have a “Summer of State Fair Oreos” than a “bikini body” any day.
The big question is, which one are you going to try first?
If you’re looking for the most decadent treat out there, why not try our Peanut Butter Oreo Brownie Cupcake? You can even replace that plain old Oreo with one of these new Oreos for extra flavor.
