Oreo Released A Limited-Edition Flavor That Will Make Up For How Crappy 2018 Has Been

A few months back, I ranked all of the Oreos I could find at my local grocery store. While it didn’t make the top spot, Mint Oreos were one of the tastiest cookies you could find on the shelves. No surprise, really — Thin Mints are one of the most popular Girl Scout cookie flavors for a good reason. While Mint is still available in select stores, there’s going to be a new Oreo in town that might as well be Mint’s cousin who’s visiting for the holidays.

That flavor is Peppermint Bark, and it’s pretty obvious that it’s meant to help celebrate the winter ahead. With snow on its logo, it’s the perfect Oreo to enjoy with a cup of hot chocolate. How does it differentiate from Mint? Well, Peppermint Bark has a legit peppermint taste, and it includes some crunchy flavor crystals to make you feel even more refreshed.

Since there are also Oreo-flavored candy canes making the rounds for the second holiday season, it’s safe to say that the masterminds behind the cookie are fully aware that chocolate and mint is a winning combination.

Just think — you can decorate your tree with the canes while enjoying a sleeve of Peppermint Bark to have the ultimate Oreo-inspired holiday season. (And then eat the canes later.)

This doesn’t mean that this is the first Peppermint Bark Oreo out there. For years, eople have actually been making their own Oreo concoctions to celebrate winter.

According to the JunkFoodMom Instagram account, the Peppermint Bark Oreos will officially be hitting stores on October 29th. That gives you plenty of time to make room in your pantry. Since it’s launching this month, you might think it’s a little too early, but hopefully that’ll give you more time to stockpile if you’re a fan.
