Give us a bowl of raw cookie dough and our heart is yours. We get it — raw cookie dough can make you sick, but come on! It tastes so good. Even though the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued a formal warning about consuming cookie dough, people don’t give an eff. They can take our lives, but they can never take our freedom.
According to a December 3rd CDC feature, raw cookie dough could contain several types of bacteria that can cause sickness. The CDC warns that uncooked flour could potentially contain E. coli and raw eggs could contain Salmonella — both of which are germs that could mess our stomachs up pretty badly.
Yeah, but what’s one little spoonful of cookie dough really going to do? You have to see if you made the recipe correctly before you bake, right? “Steer clear of this temptation,” the CDC adds. We guess they’re not messing around here.
However, the people of the internet have chosen to turn a blind eye to this warning.

Listen, CDC, we know you’re trying to do us a favor, but you may have overstepped your bounds on this one. We understand the dangers of raw cookie dough, we really do. But we also understand that sometimes you have to live dangerously. Now let us lick the GD spoon.
