If you’ve had a wedding, you can probably relate when I say that flowers are super costly. While they’re beautiful, they’re often one of the biggest, unexpected wedding expenses you can have. Know what’s beautiful and way more convenient? A bouquet made of pizza. And no, I’m not making that up — it really exists, and it’s something that makes me want to redo my own vows ASAP.
A pizza chain called Villa Italian Kitchen created the bouquet, and yes — it’s completely edible, meaning that you can munch on it right before going down the aisle if you’re feeling a little anxious. The bouquets were concocted using real pizza dough and mozzarella, meaning that your guests will also be able to enjoy a pretty delectable aroma as you’re taking steps toward your future partner.
Grooms are in luck as well, since there’s a matching pizza boutonniere that goes along with it. But unlike the bouquet, it straight up looks like a pizza. Couples can enter for a chance to win the set, as Villa Italian Kitchen is giving a few away to some of the lucky brides and grooms out there.
There are still a few questions I have. Like, what if the winner happens to eat the bouquet immediately after winning it? And, are brides required to throw the pizza bouquet at the reception to the crowd of single hopefuls? Maybe it’s a good thing I’m already married. There’s a pretty big chance that bouquet wouldn’t make it until “I Do.”
The contest started up on June 4th and it’s only running until June 15th, so engaged couples will want to submit their names soon. To be eligible, weddings need to happen before September 30th of this year. Winning couples can also choose between two bouquets or two boutonnieres.
Who knew that pizza would be such a thoughtful (and delicious) way to personalize a wedding?
