If Justin Bieber can potentially resurrect double-stick ice pops, then surely there’s a chance for another nostalgia-inducing candy to make a comeback, right? This time, it’s Strawberries and Creme Creme Savers, and Delish.com Lifestyle Editor Madison Flager is leading the charge.
On Friday, May 31st, Flager made her case for bringing the melt-in-your-mouth confection back to candy shelves. A favorite of grandparents everywhere — Grandma and Pop-Pop always seemed to have them on hand, didn’t they? — Creme Savers were apparently discontinued in the early 2010s, according to both Flager and various Reddit threads making similar pleas for their return.
Imitations of the classic candy abound from brands like Scripture Candy, Campino Yogurt, and Columbina, but surely none can rival the taste nor the fond memories of Creme Savers.
“Gone are the days when you could walk into a drugstore and pick up a bag of individually wrapped Creme Savers, or a sleeve of them to slowly but surely eat through (who am I kidding, those never lasted long),” Flager wrote. “Now, we’re stuck with the donut-hole-shaped fruity Life Savers, sans cream. They’re fine. They serve a purpose. But they’re just not the same. And they’re definitely not as good.”
We’re with you, Madison!
Like Flager pointed out, she’s certainly not alone in her request.
Although some fans have scored Strawberries and Creme Creme Savers online, they seem to be in limited quantities. Plus, it’s unclear how long the bags have been languishing in some warehouse.
Sadly, most people are coming up short in the search.
Clearly, we all missed the announcement that these were leaving us for good.
Yes, along with Sour Altoids and 3D Doritos, these were truly the best.
Instagram pleas for their return stretch back for years.
Someone even made an illustration capturing their frustration over this.
They truly are a nostalgic candy.
Twitter has long been in mourning over the disappearance of Creme Savers, too.

“Bombest Grandma candy of the century” should be a real award, tbh.
I miss CremeSavers. Bombest grandma candy of the century.

No questions at this time, please. It’s still too difficult to talk about.

Reddit’s r/nostalgia channel is also full of tributes to the long-missed Strawberries and Creme Creme Savers.
Everyone seems to have a grandma-related story to tell here.
Yup. We vividly remember this happened to us.
Thank you, Meredith, for bringing this extremely important candy issue back to the forefront. So, who’s starting the official petition?
