The Controversial White Cheesecake M&M Flavor Is Back Already, And 2019 Wins

There’s been something incredible happening these last few years — brands have started unleashing some bold varieties of their classic products. Nowadays, limited edition flavors are just something we all expect when a big holiday hits, and the big players in the candy and snack world always deliver. Sometimes, they even bring back holiday favorites, giving us time to stockpile. M&M’s in particular recently announced that a special flavor will be making a return in 2019, and it’s time to get psyched.

Of course, M&Ms isn’t making things easy. They’re releasing this flavor in just one location, meaning you might need to change up your shopping schedule. But the flavor in question is White Cheesecake which, for many, is worth the miles.

When the flavor debuted back at the very end of 2016, snack fans had mixed opinions. One thing was clear — the texture and flavor reminded fans of cream cheese. Personally, I find this to be a good thing, as does a fan on Amazon named Franswa. “I am so hooked on these. Best M&M’s out there,” they wrote. “A bit expensive, but they are not available in the stores. Cheesecake and chocolate. I start eating them and can’t stop.”

The M&Ms are out to celebrate Valentine’s Day 2019, but some fans have noticed them at Walmart at the end of December, likely when all of the Christmas snacks were being filtered out.

Speaking of Christmas snacks, a few big fans of the flavor chose to incorporate them into delicious cookies, which is kind of a genius idea — and perfect for any Valentine.

Many people state these are very sweet, so they’re perfect for the person with the ultimate sweet tooth. If that’s not you, maybe you should check out the Dark Chocolate variety that is also pretty new to the scene.

Even though White Cheesecake M&Ms are the perfect way to celebrate your loved one, you have to remember that the competition is pretty fierce at this time of year. Valentine’s Day is a huge day for chocolate.

But since it’s unlikely that M&Ms would bring back an unsuccessful flavor, chances are that the White Chocolate M&Ms fare pretty well around the early holidays. Especially because there are a lot of cheesecake fans out there.

Of course, this isn’t good news for people who’ve made resolutions to eat healthier and avoid chocolate. But hey — Valentine’s Day is a special occasion, and if you’re going through it solo this year, enjoying some M&Ms is a good way to treat yourself. Might as well buy yourself some flowers, too.

As a final reminder, these are currently available only through Walmart or online. So if you want to buy a bag for your loved ones, you might want to stop by a store this weekend.
