There’s something very special about the frosting of an Oreo. For one, it can very easily be removed in one piece, if you prefer to really deconstruct your cookie. Two, there’s really nothing else out there quite like it, flavor-wise. So that’s why this new Oreo product is bound to be an instant success. While it’s not a cookie per se (it has a totally different shape you may not be used to), it’s made for the frosting lovers of the world.
The new Oreo is called Oreo Joy Fills, and it looks a lot like you’d imagine. Bite-sized, this treat reportedly has a shell that’s somewhat like a wafer, and its filled to capacity with the frosting you know and love. The name of the snack is pretty perfect, since cookies and cream *does* bring us endless joy. Now for the bad news — right now, it looks like they’re only available in the U.K. So if you live in the United States, you might want to make a friend across the pond and hope they’ll send some of these noms over.
The product was discovered by an Instagram account called Newfoodsuk. Based on their appreciation of candy, snacks, and chocolate, it’s an account you’ll want to follow.
So, it looks like the company finally found an innovative way to eat Oreo frosting. It may be a little jarring getting all of the Oreo taste without the texture of the actual cookie present, but that’s an obstacle any snack fan would be happy to run into.
One thing’s for sure — the name seems perfect. These are bound to bring a ton of joy.
