YouTuber Shane Dawson Is Trying To Take Chuck E. Cheese Down With This Gross Pizza Conspiracy

It may have been a long time since you found yourself at a Chuck E. Cheese’s. Once known for their skater rat mascot and animatronic band, the company has faced a lot of bad press recently. For one, it seems to be a popular place for adults to fight. And now, YouTuber Shane Dawson believes that pizzas may be stitched together from half-eaten pies. And even though he admits this is just a theory, there are a lot of people supporting him.

It’s a shame to say that someone had a negative pizza experience, but sometimes it happens. I, myself, have had delivery pizzas that looked like they were just individual slices hanging out in the same box. Sometimes things get rattled around in the car, I get it. But for Chuck E. Cheese’s, this seems to happen quite often. What could you expect when it’s a rat in the kitchen making it, right?

Jokes aside, the video finds Dawson in a Chuck E. Cheese’s location to test the theory himself. And there’s no denying it — the pizza just doesn’t look like it belongs together. While not known for being #1 for their pizza, it still seems incredibly sketchy and unsanitary to be served something that another table left behind.

The full video, titled “Investigating Theories with Shane Dawson,” is over an hour long.

The theory about Chuck E. Cheese’s starts during the 10th minute. “Just a theory, not a fact, don’t sue me,” Dawson says to his viewers.

Dawson says he’s had this theory since he was younger. The fact that there are plenty of pizzas out there in different sizes makes him more suspicious that it may be true.

“None of the pepperonis line up,” Dawson says while examining a picture. “Nobody’s talking about it.”

Uploaded on February 11th, the video already has over eight million views. And most of those people are just as curious as to whether or not each pie is actually fresh. Just look at a few more of these photos, all taken at random Chuck E. Cheese’s locations around the world.

This pizza also looks suspicious. Unless a piece is missing and the rest are leftovers to be taken home, it’d be hard to pinpoint as this being from the same exact pie.

At the very least, spinach and pepperoni seems to be an odd combo. So, maybe that one is legit. But… what about this one?

This one also seems suspicious. Why are some of the pieces so short, while others are so much bigger?

The crusts don’t even line up on this one. Now, I’ve never made a pizza that wasn’t born in the oven or microwave (thanks, Mama Celeste!) but even I can tell you that the crust is something that’s universal throughout the entire pie.

Is it possible that every person who’s ever worked in a Chuck E. Cheese’s has never been able to adequately cut a pizza before? Why hasn’t anyone questioned this before?

Dawson stated that every time he went, it was like “misplaced pizza.” He even said that one time, his family went and there was a veggie piece at random that his mom openly claimed without questioning why it was there in the first place.

In order to investigate, Dawson hit up a Yahoo! Answers forum.

Now, if you’re familiar with Yahoo! Answers, you know that you might not get factual results. When someone asked if their pizza was recycled, someone commented with “Tastes like it.”

Dawson felt like the best thing to do would be to order the pizza and see what happened. Each pie would be slightly different.

While there, Dawson pointed out that Chuck E. Cheese’s had stated on their merchandise that pizza was freshly made. But that could just mean it wasn’t reheated from a frozen product, like Ellio’s (from his perspective).

He was so involved that he took the pizza home to try to solve the mystery. But in the end, he really didn’t know.

Since Dawson had this theory since he was eight, it’d be strange if nobody caught on by now. But maybe people just didn’t want to believe that a popular kids’ chain would really serve old food. People who have pizza photos from back in the day felt comfortable enough posting them online and tagging Chuck E. Cheese’s to get some answers.

Even if it seems a bit gross, some of the reactions are downright funny. How did nobody ever catch on?

However, people who work there have been quick to stand up for the company. Maybe each pie really is fresh, despite the photo evidence.

Just be on high alert next time you order pizza at Chuck E. Cheese’s. Surely it’s fine, but some questions have definitely been raised.
