A Bunch Of Toddlers Made A Cookbook, And This One Photo Will Make You Cry-Laugh

It’s pretty much a universal truth that everything a toddler does is adorable. Blame it on their cute little faces, their tiny mini bodies, and their infectious smiles and giggles. They could be doing something totally destructive, and you could yell at them, then look at them and still think, “Wow, you are too adorable to stay mad at.” So one of the gifts of the internet is obviously sharing the beyond funny and adorable things toddlers do so that everyone can see them and appreciate them. It’s one of those feel-good internet things that you just can’t ignore no matter how much you try… especially when it involves food in some way.

This latest story is just one example of that — and also an example of why you need your toddlers to start helping out in the kitchen ASAP. Seriously, who knew they could be such experts at making food?

Let us explain: A bunch of toddlers made a cookbook, and it is just as hilarious as you might think it would be.

Twitter user Jordan Adams recently took to the site to share a few photos of recipes created by toddlers. He got the photos from his nephew Ethan’s pre-K class cookbook, which came from a project during which students had to submit their own recipes, and honestly, they are priceless.

Take a look at the recipe for Ethan’s Eggs. They take one full hour to prep, but only two seconds to cook! In order to make these eggs, you’ll need pancakes, sugar, and Skittles, and you can get all of them, according to Ethan, at Texas Roadhouse.

The instructions also really make sense: “First you put pancakes and then sugar and that’s it. You can cook it, but you can go to my house and I will give you eggs because my mom makes eggs all the time. You can eat them with a spoon. Don’t put anything on them because that’s how you makes eggs, with nothing.”

Then there’s Ariana’s Macaroni. The recipe requires a surprising amount of fruit, and… a doll?

It’s hard to say what’s funnier. The fact that this macaroni includes strawberries, which Ariana likes “because they’re healthy,” or the fact that they include toys and dolls, which can be purchased at… “wait… I am trying to think… oh yeah… the mall.”

The instructions are extremely detailed:

“First you put the macaroni in the stove and now you put it in the end. Put it to the oven and put cheese and more melted cheese. The oven has to be hot like fire…like a candle…like for birthdays. Now you need to tell everyone that it’s time to leave. And I have to leave because I am going to a party with a swimming pool. My sister says, ‘Why do you go to the swimming pool?’ and I say, ‘Because I like it.’ Now I go home and I am waiting for it to not be hot and then my sister says, ‘Why do you do that?’ It’s because you blow on the macaroni so it won’t be hot. You need to wait. Now it’s done!”

Joe’s Tacos are a little more confusing, because it seems like Joe doesn’t really know the recipe. He even says, “I don’t actually know, I don’t remember anything.”

Source: Twitter

He thinks they take 45 minutes to prep and 55 minutes to make, but really, he doesn’t know. He also thinks the ingredients include, “potato… wait… is it potato or tomato… no tomato.” Sounds like the right choice!

The instructions are literal perfection:

“First I don’t actually know, I really don’t remember anything. Can I change this to cheesy roll ups? Because they are super easy. There is only 3 stuff you need, white cheese, yellow cheese, and tortilla. I don’t even want to make tacos anymore. I don’t even know how. It is so hard think about tacos. But I can make cheesy roll ups. They are super easy. They come from Taco Bell. I need yellow cheese and I don’t know where to buy the white cheese. I don’t know how to make tacos. Cheesy rollups are better because I know how to make them. I don’t think…one time I made candy and it turned brown. I don’t want tacos anymore. I like them, but I love cheesy rollups more. I don’t like beans because they make me throw up. My mom made me a burrito one time with beans and I threw up. Wait… I know how to make watermelon it is easy… just buy the watermelon and eat it.”

But the best one might be Sebastian’s Pancakes, which are surprisingly easy. They only contain salt. That’s it!

Unfortunately, they also cost $70. That means you’re buying some seriously expensive salt, although it is from Walmart, so that part is confusing.

The instructions explain it all:

“You get a thingy from the house and you put it in the hot thingy. Turn on the hot thingy and it burns so you have to be careful. You make like, something and put it in and it cooks. Then you get a plate and finish it. Don’t leave the plate on the table, you have to throw it away in the wink or flies will get on it.”

Twitter has so many thoughts. Like, can we see the entire cookbook?

People also have thoughts on which recipe is the best. A lot of people are into Joe’s Tacos. Who can blame them?

Although Ethan’s eggs sound pretty enticing too. They include Skittles!

Seriously, people are willing to spend real money on this cookbook. And honestly, so are we.

So, that’s the best thing you’ll see all day. No arguments.
