This Woman Saved All Of Her Amazon Boxes For The Ultimate April Fools’ Day Prank

April Fools’ Day can be a polarizing holiday. Some people love the chance to joke around with others, play pranks on their co-workers, friends, and family members, and laugh about the ridiculous practical jokes that circulate all over the internet. Others can’t stand any part of it and just aren’t into pranks. But if you’re someone who is a fan of April Fools’ Day, then you probably look forward to the best jokes that happen each year. At the very least, they serve as inspiration for you to pull something similar.

It can be fun to read about some of the more hilarious pranks out there. These are the pranks that are all about harmless fun. No one is getting hurt, intense emotions aren’t involved, relationships aren’t being questioned, and loyalty isn’t coming into play. They’re not offensive or too controversial to be something you can laugh at. They’re just amusing, and they’re about playfully tricking someone you’re close with. That can be hilarious!

This year, there were plenty of funny April Fools’ Day jokes out there, but there was one in particular that really stood out to us…

A woman saved all of her Amazon boxes to prank her husband, and she pulled it off perfectly.

The prank was done by Maureen Pritchard, a woman from Green Bay, WI. She decided to make her husband think she had just purchased probably thousands of dollars worth of items from Amazon, all delivered on one day. How? She simply saved up her old Amazon boxes, and on April 1st, put them out in front of the house as if they had just been dropped off.

Her husband’s reaction was basically what you would think your significant other’s reaction would be if you went on an Amazon shopping spree. It was perfect.

On Facebook, Pritchard wrote, “I’ve been planning an April Fools joke to play on Rob for MONTHS!! I got him good! I wish I would have continued to record right away when he came in the house. When he saw me recording out the window I thought he realized that it was a joke, but when he came inside he kept asking, ‘What IS all that?!?'”

She added, “I had to explain that it was 6 months of saved boxes, from us, my parents, and my sister! The second video is his reaction. April Fools! Anyone need any boxes?!? You have no idea how many people slowed down or stopped in front of our house all day today!”

This prank is perfect: it’s harmless, it’s funny, and it’s a great way to pull one over on your partner (or really anyone you live with). A lot of people agreed — as of April 2nd, Pritchard’s Facebook post had over 2.7K shares and over 3.7K likes.

The prank even circulated around Twitter, where users loved it. Everyone was talking about how awesome it was.

Look at all these boxes though! Can you blame them?!

Some people were saying they wish they thought of it first. Us, too, to be honest!

Other people are saying she won April Fools’ Day. It’s very possible that she did.

A few people agreed that it was one of the only pranks they found amusing on April Fools’ Day. That’s a pretty impressive feat.

There were a few other April Fools’ Day pranks that stood out as well. Like McDonald’s trying to tell everyone they had a new burger made of just pickles:

Then there was one from The Coffee Bean about changing their beloved ice. Fans were, uh, not very happy about that possibility.

Google also played a joke about a Screen Cleaner that they definitely put a lot of time into. It wasn’t quite as believable as this Amazon prank though!

Overall, we have to hand it to Pritchard — she picked a great, accessible prank, and gained lots of fans for it. Well done!

Let’s all agree to remember this one for next year.
