Starbucks’s Cadbury Creme Egg Frappuccino Is The Perfect Secret Menu Item For Easter

cadbury creme egg frappuccino

One of our favorite chocolate Easter treats has crossed over to the coffee side. Thanks to a beautiful mind somewhere out there in the universe, the Cadbury Creme Egg Frappuccino recipe exists on the Starbucks Secret Menu website. And we wish we knew about it sooner.

A barista by the name of Manny O. submitted the Cadbury Creme Egg Frappuccino to the fan-built site in 2013. The chocolatey concoction reportedly tastes just like the creme-filled eggs from our childhood Easter baskets. And because ’tis the season, we need to get our hands on a Cadbury Creme Egg Frapp like, yesterday.

As long as your local Starbs is stocked with all the necessary ingredients, a Cadbury Creme Egg Frappuccino is actually fairly simple to make. To order, start by asking for a Java Chip Frappuccino. This is where the chocolate/mocha flavor comes from.

Depending on the size you order, you’ll then ask for pumps of Frappuccino Roast (1 pump tall, 2 grande, 3 venti). Next comes the Vanilla syrup (1 pump for a tall, 1.5 pumps for a grande, 2 pumps for a venti), and the Caramel syrup  (1/2 pump for a tall and grande, 1 pump for a venti) — this is where the “creme” part of the Cadbury Creme Egg comes into play.

Finally, ask your barista to add vanilla bean powder (2 scoops for a tall, 3 scoops for a grande and 4 scoops for a venti). Mix it all together, and presto. You have a Cadbury Creme Egg Frappucino.

We didn’t think the perfect marriage of candy and coffee existed. But we’ve been proven wrong, and we’re stoked about it.

If you’re *really* nice to your barista, you can also ask them to plop a real Cadbury Creme Egg into your drink. Although, you’ll probably have to BYOE (bring your own egg).

Remember, this is a Secret Menu item, meaning it’s in no way an official Starbucks beverage. We highly recommend you order by listing the ingredients rather than simply asking for a Cadbury Creme Egg Frappuccino. Otherwise, you’ll get some funny looks.

Or your barista will just be annoyed. One never wants their barista to be annoyed!

Just make sure you have the list written down and ready to go. Your barista, and everyone in the line behind you, will thank you.

Once you master the art of sneaky ordering, the world of possible Starbucks drinks is your oyster. Come on — the Cadbury Creme Egg Frappuccino is definitely worth moving outside of your comfort zone for.

And then you can dive into the never-ending hole that is the Starbucks Secret Menu items. You could seriously order something new every day.

There’s the Ferrero Rocher Frappuccino, which also starts with a Java Chip Frappuccino base. You then ask for pumps of hazelnut and mocha syrup, and hazelnut drizzle.

The Butterbeer Frappuccino is made with a Creme Frappuccino based and pumps of caramel and toffee nut syrup, and is topped with caramel drizzle. It tastes just like what you’d imagine Butterbeer to taste like.

There’s also a Pokémon Frappuccino that’s not even listed on the Starbucks Secret Menu site. Now *that’s* a secret.

The Secret Menu even has this super weird drink that mixes oxygen and hydrogen. It’s bizarre.

And then there’s a secret item that’s called the “Water Cup No Water Banana” that’s also a real head-turner. It’s a viral sensation, actually.

We think we’ll just stick to the Cadbury Creme Egg Frappuccino for now. Thanks anyway.
