Some people think that it’s time to celebrate the winter holidays when Thanksgiving is over. Others think it’s appropriate to start decorating their homes the second the front porch light goes out on Halloween. For Starbucks, the celebrations start on November 2nd — at least, they do this year.
According to Kristy Cameron, who works at the Starbucks Creative Studio, the big company is going to celebrate the end of the year by looking back. “Looking back at our heritage, we found something lovely in our own story, with beautiful coffee and flavors that come together to make the season magical,” Cameron said in a release. That means the overall theme of the 2018 Starbucks winter season will reflect on designs from years past. Also, drinks! For example, the Peppermint Mocha will be coming back for the 16th straight year. The Starbucks Christmas Blend will also be joining the lineup.
If you’re not a fan, have no fear. A plethora of other Starbucks holiday drinks will also be making a comeback, such as their Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Gingerbread Latte, Eggnog Latte, Caramel Brulée Latte, and Chestnut Praline Latte. That’s a lot of lattes.
But even bigger than the drinks? The holiday cups they’ll be delivered in. They’re so popular that they even have their own website, counting down the days until “red cup season” hits.
Starbucks actually chose to unleash the designs to the world today, November 1st.
Tomorrow, they’ll be giving out free reusable red cups if you’re hoping to make a difference in saving the environment while staying seasonal. All you need to do is buy one of their seasonal drinks mentioned above. Why not, right?
So even if you plan on waiting until Black Friday to start your Christmas shopping, Starbucks will welcome you with loving arms in case you want to start getting into the spirit just a little bit earlier.
