Starbucks Is Adding Two New Drinks To Its Menu, And They Sound Like Guilty Pleasures In A Cup

By now, you’re probably sick of hearing about the new summertime drinks at Starbucks, right? Just kidding. Everything the company does is kind of amazing, and the fact that they’re unstoppable with new beverages is nothing short of admirable. Starbucks is adding two new drinks to their menu, and they’re giving fans another reason to make multiple Starbucks stops every day.

First thing’s first — even though they’re being released right in the middle of peak beverage season, these two dessert-inspired drinks are going to be permanent additions to the Starbucks menu. While they’re both cold, neither one is a Frappuccino, which is an unexpected surprise.

The two drinks that were announced are called the Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew and the Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte. The tough part is deciding which one to choose first.

According to Refinery29, the Salted Cream Cold Foam Cold Brew includes cold foam, as its name hints. But it’s more than just a topper, as it’s reportedly slightly salty in flavor, better balancing out the beverage itself. The Iced Vanilla Bean Coconutmilk Latte doesn’t include any syrups, making it a lighter choice. And since it doesn’t include dairy, it’s a good vegan option.

This isn’t the only news that Starbucks released. They’ve also announced that they plan on getting rid of their one-use plastic straws by 2020, in favor of sippy cups and environmentally-friendly paper straws for Frappuccinos. So, it’s been a pretty solid day for Starbucks.

The drinks are set to be released on July 10th, and they’re a perfect way to ramp up your Tuesday. And, well, your summer. Since, unless you’re a (very lucky) student who’s enjoying summer break, you might need a little pick-me-up.

Did you know that Starbucks has a rewards program? By joining Starbucks Rewards, you can get free food and drinks (and even free refills!). You can also order and pay for your favorites on your phone. Cheers!
