Carriage Cake

Complexity: Easy

Prep time: 25 minutes

Servings: 47

Ingredients:

  • 47 unfrosted cupcakes
  • white, yellow, blue, and pink frosting
  • sprinkles for decoration

Directions:

  1. Place the unfrosted cupcakes in the shape of a carriage. 
  2. Frost the cupcakes with different colors according to the section of the carriage they are in. For example, blue for the hood, white for the trim, pink for the base, and yellow for the handle and wheels.
  3. Optional: finish with some sprinkles on the “wheels.”

 

Gender Reveal Cupcakes

Complexity: Easy

Prep time: 15 minutes

Servings: 5

Ingredients:

  • 5 unfrosted cupcakes
  • buttercream frosting
  • yellow, white, and pink food coloring
  • candy eyes
  • blue and pink sprinkles

Tools:

  • pacifiers
  • piping nozzle
  • ice cream scoop

Directions:

  1. Insert the base of a piping nozzle in the middle of an unfrosted cupcake. Pull out the cut-out piece.
  2. Flip the piping nozzle so the skinny part is in the cupcake.
  3. Pour the sprinkles in through the piping nozzle. Slowly remove the nozzle while tapping the sides to distribute the sprinkles into the cupcake. 
  4. Fill the hole with the cut-out piece of cupcake from earlier.
  5. Mix together the buttercream frosting, yellow, pink, and white food coloring to get the beige color
  6. Scoop frosting on top of each cupcake. 
  7. Decorate with candy eyes.
  8. Finish with a pacifier.

 

Nutter Babies

Complexity: Easy

Prep time: 10 minutes

Servings: 10

Ingredients:

  • 10 nutter butter cookies
  • pink and blue candy melts
  • candy eyes
  • black food gel

Tools:

  • parchment paper
  • baking sheet

Directions:

  1. Melt your pink and blue candy melts.
  2. Dip one end of the nutter butter cookies in the melted candy melts. Let them set on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
  3. Draw on eyes and a mouth with black food gel. 
  4. Place the candy eyes on top of the dots to stick them to the cookie.

 

Rattle Pops

Complexity: Easy

Prep time: 30 minutes

Servings: 5

Ingredients:

  • 1 box of white cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup water
  • ⅓ cup vegetable oil
  • vanilla frosting
  • sprinkles
  • blue and pink candy melts

Tools:

  • cake pan
  • ice cream scoop
  • lollipop stick
  • ribbons

Directions:

  1. Mix the ingredients for the cake and bake it at 350°F/177°C for 30 minutes.
  2. Once the cake is cool, destroy it by crumbling it up with your hands. 
  3. Pour in vanilla frosting and sprinkles. Mix it all together.
  4. Scoop out the mix and form two different sized balls (large and small). 
  5. Insert the lollipop stick into the large ball on one end and the small one on the other.
  6. Freeze for 40 minutes.
  7. Dip the cake pops into blue and pink melted candy melts.
  8. Decorate with sprinkles and ribbons. 

 

Bib Bites

Complexity: Easy

Prep time: 10 minutes

Servings: 5

Ingredients:

  • fondant
  • pink and blue food coloring
  • 5 frosted cupcakes

Tools:

  • scalloped cookie cutter
  • pipping nozzle
  • rolling pin

Directions:

  1. Mix fondant with pink or blue food coloring and roll it out.
  2. Using a scalloped cookie cutter, cut a circle out of the fondant.
  3. Use a piping tip to cut a small circle inside of a large one. Do it near one of the edges to resemble a bib. 
  4. Place the fondant bib on top of a cupcake.

 

Binky Bites 

Complexity: Easy

Prep time: 5 minutes

Servings: 5

Ingredients:

  • lifesaver candies
  • white candy melts
  • red and blue M&M’s candies
  • 5 frosted cupcakes

Directions:

  1. Dip the lifesaver candy, face down, into melted candy melts.
  2. Stick the end of another lifesaver candy to the first one.
  3. Insert M&M candy to the other side of the first lifesaver candy.
  4. Place lifesaver binky on top of a cupcake.
