There have been a slew of impressive latte art photos circulating over the years — most recently, the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle-inspired design that royal wedding fans were able to sip on. But since coffee isn’t every kid’s favorite drink, it’s somewhat of a rarity to see latte art that also appeals to youngsters. Until now.
Instagram artist Lee Kang-Bin, who shares his work on the Instagram account @leekangbin91, creates latte art that will make every kid want to grab coffee with mom in the morning (just make sure you ask their doctor first). The artist states that he’s a college professor for the arts in his Instagram bio, so maybe he can also teach a class on how to make lattes look spectacular? (We’d sign up.)
The U.K.’s Independent says that Kang-Bin’s colorful creations are officially called “CreamArt,” and noted that his process includes drawing on top of the latte’s layer of steamed milk. He uses food dyes to really bring his creations to life. According to the site, each creation takes Kang-Bin about 15 minutes to accomplish. But it’s totally worth it when you get your cup.
His designs are almost unreal — he covers everything from famous paintings to pets. One of his specialties seems to be the gang from Peanuts.
Kang-Bin isn’t afraid to push the limits with CreamArt, and that’s why he’s also showcased a few impressive 3D lattes with our favorite characters.
Next time you’re in South Korea, you should head to Lee Kang-Bin’s shop so you can drink one of his works of art.
