Listen — every single one of us should know by now that we can’t get away with anything on the internet. When this mom tried to pin a barista for inappropriately disciplining her child, video surveillance was pulled up and the bakery owner called this mom out. Oh, and in the nicest way possible.
“Sadly I would have given the bakery 5 stars as it is so lovely in the village & the owners seem so wonderful,” the mom began her social media review, which was posted on Imgur back in March. “Today the girl at the counter started yelling at my 3 year old who was simply being a toddler waiting for his treat. Sad that she felt the need to discipline a child while the mother was paying. Will no longer support. :(”
“We apologize if our service did not meet your expectations,” Alex, the bakery’s owner, responded. “Children are always warmly welcomed in our Bakery and it has never been, and never will be, in our intent to discipline children.” Here’s where it gets good.
“Furthermore, I checked the video surveillance,” Alex continued. “At 10:57 am, a little boy was kicking at the display, about 8 times. The barista bent over to tell exactly : “Could you please not kick that? Thank you.” She was talking politely and not yelling as you said in your review. We apologize if you considered that it was disrespectful.”
Everyone loves a good revenge story, especially one in which revenge is gotten in a perfectly polite way.
Wait — gross.
