Chrissy Teigen’s Statements About Candy Are Dividing The Entire Internet

There are so many reasons to love Chrissy Teigen. She seems like a relatable celebrity who likes all the things we do — food, snark, and John Legend. But after hearing her opinions about candy, you may find yourself disagreeing with her for the first time. And let’s just say, it’s a weird feeling.

Teigen, who recently released her second cookbook, is often hailed as the Queen of Twitter because of her snappy comebacks and funny observations. But, she’s been controversial at times. And in terms of candy, people take things very seriously. I’m going to be open here and state that my absolute love of banana runts isn’t a common fact simply because I know that a lot of people like them least — and I don’t need the drama in my life. (Hey, more for me). While Teigen stayed quiet on runt preference, she voiced her opinion on gummy bears — and things spiraled from there.

“The best gummy bear is the clear gummy bear. This isn’t up for debate. You either agree or you’re wrong,” she tweeted on December 7th. Right after that, she said the best Skittle is purple and the best Starburst is pink, “obviously.”

Of course, some people agreed. But others couldn’t help but fight back and support the flavors they love.

Later on, Teigen added that orange and yellow typically don’t have a place in the candy world. And I kind of agree with that. To me, yellow and orange are like the honeydew of a fruit salad. It’s fine, but it’s kind of a space filler when you look at the big picture.
