Boy, does. It seems like we were waiting decades for Khloé Kardashian to give birth, but baby True turned one in April of 2019. And her mom celebrated in the most fabulous of ways. In addition to the beautiful decorations, True’s birthday party featured some pretty interesting cotton candy. The sweet treats were shaped like animals.
The cotton candy came from Los Angeles confectionary company Bon Puf Cotton Candy. And each bit of spun sugar looked like a bear, rooster, puppy dog, or pig. They were more than a little cross-eyed but still pretty cute. In fact, they were almost a little too cute to eat.
The cotton candy seemingly came later. It looks like True first started her party with literally all the balloons in the world.
Khloé had no problem going all out for the party. According to People, she had matching dresses made up for her and her daughter, and also hired on a “unicorn,” otherwise known as a mini pony wearing a pretty great costume.
While Kourtney Kardashian was reportedly at the party, she also posted a cute little tribute to baby True online. It seems like her own kids absolutely adore her.
But, back to the cotton candy for a minute. While it’s the perfect treat to serve up at a birthday party, it doesn’t seem to go with the theme.
Khloé seems to focus on unicorns, but this specific treat didn’t even come in a unicorn shape. That is, unless there was one special unicorn design saved just for baby True. Perhaps something like this:
They probably tasted fantastic, which is the most important part. I have a feeling that Khloé wouldn’t skimp on getting the very best for her daughter. But cotton candy has come a long way, and there were a lot of other things she could have chosen.
And you’re probably well aware of the fact that Kylie Jenner is fond of rocking pink hair on occasion. She just had her own baby birthday to celebrate — little Stormi turned one in February.
But Khloé isn’t the only Kardashian mom to feed her kids slightly interesting things. In fact, Kourtney Kardashian’s children have an exceedingly healthy diet. Here a few of their more shockingly balanced snacks.
Apparently, though, the family won’t go meat-free any time soon. Kourtney’s kids actually seem to love scrambled eggs, and she loves making them. That’s not even strange, so we’ll give her that one!
Frosted Flakes or Cheerios aren’t approved; Kourtney only feeds her kids the healthy stuff. Her favorites include Kind Maple Quinoa Clusters and Puffins Honey Rice Cereal. Buy hey, at least her kids get to enjoy cereal in the first place, a childhood staple many of us have fond memories of.
Kourtney mentioned that her brood only drinks homemade almond milk, organic rice milk, or organic coconut milk. Emphasis on homemade! According to Minimalist Baker, this involves blending soaked almonds and using a nut milk bag to discard any excess pulp. Not as hard as it sounds!
Additionally, she loves to give her kids carrots and celery with hummus for lunch. We can live with that one, since that’s a snack that even non-celebs like ourselves love to chow down on.
The fit mom also claims to give them “a gluten-free rice tortilla with sliced turkey meat or turkey dogs — no bun.” Kourt also likes sweet potato tortillas, which certainly sound interesting. Fortunately, gluten-free products are more widespread than they used to be.
In a post on her app, she wrote, “Penelope and I love salads, so we usually eat a big yummy one for lunch.” The mom went on to say, “I usually have [a salad] with some type of protein added, like chicken or salmon. Whenever possible, I try to make my own simple balsamic or ginger dressing since store-bought dressings have lots of unnecessary sugar and preservatives.”
Instead, it’s super simple and healthy. The Kardashian notes that evening meals consist of lightly cooked veggies with gluten-free pasta. A protein like chicken, turkey, or fish typically rounds out dinner. Not the most exciting thing in the world, but hey, it gets the job done.
She said, “When we were just in Italy, we all had pizza one night. But for the rest of the trip, I found that almost every restaurant had gluten-free pastas and gluten-free bread.”
She also stated, “When I’m traveling (and sometimes on the weekend), I’ll cheat — I’m a little more lenient now than I was when I first started this whole [diet] thing.”
If you’re going to cheat on your diet, it may as well be in Italy!
Kourtney personally prepared their mashed fruits and veggies. She said, “My mom bought me this amazing baby-food maker, the Beaba. I steam and puree fruits and vegetables, and they last for like four days.”
