The Oscars might not have a host this year, but it doesn’t mean that all traditions are out the window. For one, the 2019 Oscar nominees will still be getting a gift bag. In that swag bag will be crazy and expensive items that’ll make you understand why so many of these celebrities are just “happy to be nominated.”
The event will be aired on Sunday, February 24th. According to Food & Wine, the bags — which sadly never make it on the broadcast — will be dispersed to the top 25 Oscar nominees in the categories of Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Director. Sorry, screenwriters. What you do is important, but unfortunately not at the “wellness retreat”-level.
Each bag is worth somewhere in the six figures, which means this isn’t a party favor that’ll likely be left behind. And since the bags have a ton of delicious food opportunities inside, it’s likely that each nominated celebrity will be making sure their bags never leave their eyesight.

Fan of farm-to-table cuisine? Then you might want to check out Flora Farms, which also offers cooking classes and a spa. It’s located in San Jose del Cabo, Mexico, and has hosted a large amount of very pricey weddings.
They also had a big presence at the Grammy’s, which means that nominee Lady Gaga is probably already a fan. It’s formulated by Dr. Tabatha Carr, who practices holistic weight loss.
Nest Seekers International, a brokerage firm, is bringing this opportunity to nominees. Chances are, they’d love the opportunity to chat about homes with some of the biggest movie stars around.
The company is known for its nutritional powders and drinks. But did you know they also made healthy snacks? Nominees will be getting a crisp bar, but these Cake Bites look like they’re perfect to slip in your purse if you get a little hungry during a long night (like, say, the Oscars).
This isn’t the first Oscars that Posh Pretzels will make an appearance at. They also showed up in 2015 and 2018.
If you didn’t win, at least you can get drunk on moonshine. Nominees will be gifted a 750 ml bottle, according to Food & Wine. As a bonus, the bottles look very pretty.
In case moonshine isn’t their thing, there’ll also be a bottle of absinthe in their gift bags. The absinthe is hand-crafted in France, and much like the moonshine, has a very lovely bottle.
Jarritos and Yeti seem to go hand-in-hand, as the soda company just loves giving away coolers filled with their product. It’s safe to say that our favorite Oscar nominees won’t be thirsty at the big event.
Ever have chocolate that was too gorgeous to eat? Yeah, I didn’t think so — it’s never been a problem for me, personally. But these chocolate jewels probably come close. They reportedly come in three flavors — Champagne Diamond, Lemon Sage Topaz, and Ginger Sake Pearl.
But that’s not the only chocolate that’ll be in the 2019 Oscar nominee bags. Coda Signature is also offering up a bunch of amazing products, including hand-painted truffles. Imagine hand-painting a dessert that you knew Emma Stone would eat? Oh, and it should be clear that a bunch of these chocolates fall into the “recreational edibles” category.
Can you imagine how fancy celebrity pancakes must be? They skip the Log Cabin and head straight for syrup like RouGe Maple, which comes straight from Quebec.
Finally, something already in our pantry! Nominees will also get some Pepperidge Farm Milano cookies because you can’t deny the fact that these are a childhood favorite. Honestly, I wouldn’t be surprised if Oscar nominees dove into these first.
Of course, there are also a ton of beauty products and vacations in there. As well as this plunger, which has an unfortunate, yet straight-to-the-point name.

Vox also reported that a ton of anti-anxiety treatments (THC and CBD products — which are legal in California) are also included. I never thought that it was possible to gift someone phobia relief sessions, but hey, apparently it’s a thing.
It must be nice to get pampered for free. Of course, the real treat is knowing that you made a project that resonated with so many people in the country.
The goodies are all just a secondary part of it. (But hey, nominees — if there’s anything in that Oscar’s gift bag you don’t want, I’ll gladly take it off your hands for you.)
