This New “Jurassic World” Restaurant Sells Dinosaur-Themed Desserts That Taste As Cool As They Look

There’s nothing we love more than a themed restaurant. Actually, there is one thing — we just really love our dinos, okay? So, when we heard that a Jurassic World-themed café is opening up, we froze from excitement and became instant fossils.

According to WowJapan.asia, Japan’s The Guest: Café and Diner teamed up with Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom to create a one-of-a-kind experience for the film’s fans. In celebration of the film’s July 13th Japanese premiere, the Osaka and Tokyo locations are transforming into the “Jurassic World Café.” And you bet those behind the pop-up are adhering to a serious dino theme.

The entire Guest menu is transforming into something from the Jurassic period. For example, the café will serve a Jurassic World Burger complete with a lava rock-looking black bun. Customers will also be able to eat a real volcano when they order the Volcano Curry.

But the fun only starts with the main course. The dinosaur desserts are where things get truly incredible.

The café is serving up a Fossil Excavation Cake (complete with a tiny paintbrush), a Geologic Parfait that is basically all the Earth’s layers packed into one glass, and — drumroll please — full-on Dinosaur Cakes, available on the Jurassic World Café’s Tokyo takeout menu.

As if being able to behold such Cretaceous creations isn’t enough, the Jurassic World Café is also sending customers home with free Jurassic World coasters. Guests can even purchase dino keychain souvenirs for all their pals back home.

If you’re in the Tokyo or Osaka area and want to get a piece of this prehistoric pie, get to the Jurassic World Café while it’s in town. It will pop up in Tokyo from July 5th to August 6th, and then in Osaka from August 10th to September 30th.

It looks like we’re clearing our schedule and hopping on the next flight to Japan. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is currently playing in U.S. theaters.

If you’re not in Japan and still want to try a dessert creation that will knock your socks off, we highly recommend our favorite unicorn buttercream cupcakes.

They are downright enchanting.
