There Is Going To Be A Pusheen Café, Causing Us To Cry Tears Of Cuteness

It doesn’t matter how old you are — when you see something cute on the internet, you appreciate it. And it’s no surprise why Pusheen has made it so big. The cartoon cat, based off of a real kitty, was created in 2010 by Claire Belton and Andrew Duff for a comic strip. Now, she’s got her own merch. And soon, her own café.

Yep, you read that right. A Pusheen-themed café is opening in Singapore, and they’ve got way more than plushes and wall art to celebrate the plump gray cat. Their food also looks similar to Pusheen, meaning that it’s unfortunately way too cute to eat. The concept was created by Kumoya, a company famous for their pop-up cafés. Not only do they know what they’re doing,  but they know the perfect way to incorporate everyone’s favorite pop culture characters with yummy food.

Now, the bad news — according to Bustle, the café will only be open for a limited time. That means you need to head to Singapore anytime between January 6th and March of the new year to see it in person.

Since that’s a tight deadline, at least you can enjoy some of the photos that are making the rounds on Instagram.

It’s just way too on-the-nose. Perhaps they should give up the pop-up idea and just make it a straight-up restaurant that’s open year-long, because with artistic food like that, you know it’ll be a success.

Pusheen’s biggest fans were quick to spread the news on Twitter, and it’s pretty safe to say that everyone’s jazzed about this café.

Even if you can’t go, you may be inspired to pick up some last-minute Pusheen merch for Christmas presents. Everyone loves her, so it’s a guaranteed hit.

But seriously — can you imagine being in charge of designing Pusheen-themed food for people to enjoy? It sounds like a dream job. That is, next to being able to draw Pusheen’s lazy adventures.

Speaking of, you’re probably curious about the menu. It’s just as adorable as you’d expect. Business Insider reports that the menu consists of innovative choices like a shrimp burger in a charcoal bun (shaped like Pusheen), steamed green tea buns, biscuit fries, lychee soft serve, and drinks topped with clouds of cotton candy. Shirley Wong is credited as creating each dish, and she did a fantastic job.

Hopefully, even more Pusheen-themed things are in the works. That, or perhaps they’ll try out a similarly-themed café for the United States after seeing how successful it is. If so many people are excited about it weeks out, just imagine how packed it’s going to be once it officially opens!
