Tips Matter, Are you Tipping Servers Enough?

If you’re tuned in with uncertainty of your tipping behavior, please take notes. This article isn’t to judge anyone. It’s simply to inform you of what a server’s job entails.

All of the tips do not go to the server. Servers have to tip the busser, bartender, host, etc.

Most of the time a server’s base pay is under or at minimum wage.

Servers have side jobs too.  Standing around to hear you whine is not their only responsibility.

Servers have to balance hot plates on their body parts … and smile.

The uniform is usually ridiculous.

The end time of their shift is always unknown; because it’s up to you, the happy customer.

Servers have to deal with hungry people all day.

Tips aren’t a luxury for servers, they are necessary. If you don’t plan on tipping, eat at home!
