Everyone Is Freaking Out About This Part In The “Toy Story 4” Trailer, And Food Lovers Will Appreciate It

When the Toy Story 4 trailer was released, chaos ensued. Everyone who grew up watching the movie franchise immediately freaked out at the announcement, but the rest of us took notice of the most glaring difference — the new toy in the gang. Forky the Spork is the newest face in the trailer who is shown in the middle of a crisis, screaming that he doesn’t “belong here” with the other toys.

The Pixar movie combined the toy world with the food world by adding Forky. The trailer opens up with familiar characters, like Woody, Buzz, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, and Rex. Joni Mitchell’s song “Both Sides Now” is playing in the background while the characters happily hold hands in a circle. That’s where Forky comes in — screaming and panicking.

Toys bump into each other, classic catchphrases are yelled out in the background, and Forky is positive he’s not a toy.

Along with a spork figuring out his true meaning in life (does he belong in the kitchen or with the other toys?) is the fresh new storyline in the Toy Story universe. According to Pixar, the movie is focused on Bonnie, Andy’s little sister, and the toys she has in her room. She decorated Forky to be like a toy, but because he’s confused, he keeps trying to escape and the old toys bring him right back.

We never thought any part of Toy Story would work its way into the kitchen, but we hope Forky the Spork can find some peace.
